Hi on top of the carbs there is four small spurs blanked off with rubber caps fit the gauges here. Start the bike and check. to adjust there is three screws Ruth springs under them on the throttle shaft. Adjust as required. Remember the carb with the cable is not adjustable. You need to get the other three to synchronise with this one.

That bike has 4) 36mm Mikuni carbs. Most likely they are stopped up. If you have been running U.S. Fuel with ethanol added this is not good for the carbs. Or most likely it was sitting for the winter, and the carbs got stopped up. If you have the carbs cleaned out, this will fix your problem. Keep me updated, and good luck. P.S. if a shop does this work it will be expensive, its not a hard job just time consuming.

Hello Camron, i would not recommend the hot wire procedure. If you spike the controller it could do a lot of damage. Plus the stator & rectifier are not working properly. You can replace the ignition switch, that comes with 2 new keys cheaper than a locksmith will make one, in most cases. Here are a couple of links for ignition switches that will fit your bike.
I hope this helps.

You may have a vacuum leak. Your carbs may just need be adjusted and synced. I would not be surprised if the carbs have been out of sync since day one.

Hi, Timothy_towd "ABSOLUTELY" you need to go through all 4 carbs set the proper float height and then have them synced for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Yamaha, despair not, for a mere zero $0 you can download another one. I am not getting fuel to the carborators. I have tested the fuel pump and it is working. I am trying to remove the fuel line at the carborator, but can't figure how to get to it. Any suggestions

You have to remove the airfilter and mounting base then remove the carbs from the engine to do so. You do not want to do this unless it is a last resort. Did you test the fuel pump at the fuel filter? Is the blockage caused by dried fuel? - if so then the carbs will have to be removed and cleaned and the rubber parts replaced due to the age of the bike. Hoes parrtern for a 1995 suzuki katana gas tank.

there should be a vacuum hose coming from carb 4 that goes to the port on the rear of the petcock. as for the other 2 they are feed lines the 1 facing the rear of the bike goes to a hose between carb 1 and 2 and the 1 facing the front of the bike goes on the hose between carbs 3 and 4. the 2 remaining hoses on the carbs get criss crossed across the carbs and draped down thru the holders on the frame they are just overflow tubes incase you dump your bike. the other hose on the tank is a vent tube. hope this is helpful.

check if the carbs are in sync, check all feul lines and carbs are clean ,are running standard pipe ? if sports pipe you will need to rejet the carbs dont ride the the bike til you have done this ,you run the risk of breaking the engine which will be painfull to you and the bike.good luck
