Hi Tommy:
Make and model would help.
2 or 4 cycle?
If I have to guess, 4 cycle, bad rings or valve guides are allowing oil to get into combustion chamber. But that's only a guess.

Quit smoking

The newer engines are very critical to torque specs. If they were not torqued properly, even the slightest, you can have what is occurring. The older vehicles had much higher torque settings and this was hardly ever a problem.

New Toyota Etios, VD,KM 1100, observed thick white smoke from exaust pipe for @ 1 Min, while running engine on ideal.

the white smoke occurrence is due to unique Vehicle usageconditions like slow speed & Short trips drivingthe catalytic convertor is not able reach its optimum reactiontemperature. starts burning inside the Catalytic Converter. During this Chemical Reaction,Momentarily the white smoke is seen in the exhaust and is normal

Thick white smoke is most likely Blown head gasket! the seal between the cylinder block and the cylinder head. Coolant in the cylinders.
Does the white smoke have a sweetness to it? That will be the glycol in the antifreeze. Does it run rough? Is there smoke in the radiator, or fluid pushing out of radiator? Open radiator only when COLD engine or slowly with thick gloves and towel over cap. Allow pressure to bleed off before removing cap completely. White foam in or around the oil filler cap.? Cylinder pressure test will reveal where it is. As will a super clean spark plug. Sorry.

I am having problems with my front disc brake with my Yamaha Yazer 2009 the plates are heating up coz the shoes are in contact with the plates the wheels are also running tightly.I checked it with my...

1. Check your brake pads thickness, make sure they are in good condition, else replace
2. Make sure your brake disk are not warped. If they are then replace them.
3. Spray the pads and caliper piston with a good brake cleaner spray to ensure that no sticky gunk is hindering it from operating properly.
4. Remove your caliper bolts, clean them and give it some good moly grease.
5.After that it is time to tackle your brake lines, unbolt your brake banjo bolt, squeeze hand brake till all fluid comes out, clean it with clean cloth, bolt it back on. Now open your master cylinder reservoir, make sure it is not empty, fill it with brake fluid to normal level. Pump brake few times until it take effort to squeeze, hold it and open caliper bleeder valve wide open while continue squeezing, it should shoot a lot of oil with dirt, keep squeezing brake until it bottoms out, close bleeder valve, repeat pumping the brake handle until becomes hard to squeeze, hold it, open wide bleeder valve, it should be clean now, otherwise repeat process again until it comes out clean.
While doing that keep your maste cylinder oil level at full level, do not let it run empty.
Now ride the bike to 20-30kph, apply brake occassionally to adjust it.
Good luck and happy riding.

Sounds like you're getting enough fuel (black smoke) Could be running on only one cylinder. Either stuck valve or loose valve adjustment or one bad magneto. You could try starting with one spark plug disconnected. If it doesn't start, reconnect that one and disconnect the other. IF it runs like it was, then you're running only one cylinder, and go to work on finding out why.

1997 suzuki sidekick 1.6 liter runs like 20 minutes then dies. like its not getting gas. wont start till cools down again . any help much appreciated :)

not too cool kick
is check engine light on, at key on and goes out after running?

you forgot to say, does it restart instantly after it dies.
and does it stink of raw gas after or make black smoke.?

when it dies, can you keep it going with a fast right foot>
if it dont start , right after did you try the secret
unflood mode (wide open throttle)

if car wont start , try test fuel
best is instant start in a can (spray)

key test here is car flooding or is it starving for fuel.
those are the top Suzuki tricks.
