Constant velocity joints are also called CV axles. But it could be bearings also. Both will make noise. The way to tell the difference is bearings will make a loader noise when turn, when CV axles will stay a constant noise. When making a left turn and noise gets loader, it is the right side bearing and vise versa. When turning left and right and the stays constant, then it is a CV axle, or both.
It could be worn out constant velocity joints, if it is noisy only at slow speeds, and turning makes it happen too, get them checked asap.
SOURCE: my car makes a scrapping and or grinding noise when driving and braking like i'm dragging something
Just by the information you put, I would say its your brakes. They are most likely worn out past the minimum wear (3mm). If its whenever you drive maybe you are dragging something? Your exhaust system supports may have failed, maybe something stuck in there and so you are dragging it along. Take a look underneath your car.
If the noise only happens when you brake then its gotta be a problem with your brakes. Sometimes rocks get stuck in between brake pads and rotors, this makes a very annoying squeeling sound until the rock comes loose and falls out. Another possibility, like I said earlier, is that your brake pads have worn out and is now metal on metal. I recommend you go to a shop and get your brakes checked. Brakes are a very important part of your vehicle, safety especially, so I don't recommend doing it yourself unless you know what you are doing.
Hope this helps.
Thanks

SOURCE: New brakes still making grinding noise
Sounds like it is your hub bearings. Jack the car up and check for play in the hub bearings. More than likely this is your issue and the bearings need to be replaced. Hope this helps. Thanks for an honest rating.
SOURCE: Brakes are making loud grinding noise when slowing down to stop or on an incline
Ok, it could be a few things, 1. bad break caliper. 2. if you have ceramic breaks, it could be a cracked brake pad, and if they are not ceramic they can still be cracked. 3. if you drive a lot then it could be that you need new breaks again.. 4. also have your back breaks checked along with the front ones..

SOURCE: can 2008 saturn astra be dinghy towed(4 wheels down)behind an RV?
You can do it if you really wanted to. You'll need to make sure the steering wheel is secured and that the wheels are perfectly straight or you will wreck the front tires. You will be adding unneeded mileage onto the the car by having the front wheels turning. would be better and less costly overall to get trailer that you can put the front end up on.
