Question about 1996 kawasaki VN 1500 Vulcan Classic
I don't think i've ever heard of anyone restricting the vn 1500, why would you ? the whole point of them is the pulling power, i would suggest that you take it to you local bike specialist, once a mechanic has ridden it round the block he will have a far better idea of what the problem is, 65 is not acceptable for such a beast and slow off the mark says there is a major problem, or it could just be a cylinder is missing ! have you checked the obvious ? new plugs ? best of luck with this but we have too little info to form any real opinion, steve

I'd suggest a thorough maintenance routine since you just bought it.
