Question about Harley Davidson FLHTCUI Electra Glide Ultra Classic Motorcycles
2001 flhtcui I hate wireing I am good with the rest just have trouble with wires help
Hi Randy, your not alone in the I hate wiring club. First thing check to see if you blew any fuses, but don't replace them just yet. I don't know if your new bars were a tad longer causing the streching of the wiring harnesses, hold that thought. You probably pinched, cut, or broke a wire when re-installing the switch housings or handle bar controls, a common short comming among us mear mortals. Take the housings and controls back apart and check for carnage. If you find something great, repair it and leave the switch housings and controls hanging. Replace the fuses, get on your knee's clasp your hands together and offer a small humble prayer to the Harley Gods, then close your eyes cross your fingers and turn on the ignition switch. Hey it works for me. Check all your lights and turn signals, if everything works, carefully install switch housings and controls. Did the new bars come with harness dimples and are they drilled for inside wiring? Get back to me if you are still having problems, I will be waiting with breathless anticipation. Good luck
