Question about Honda Motorcycles

My Cbr f3 600 95 has stopped holding charge relay got very hot and the three yellow wires to it. The next morning it holds charge but the 3 yellow wires still got hot. What does this mean?

Hi the reg needs replacing its job is to transfer excess power into heat and loose it through the frame if its getting too hot it's not working properly. Before you replace chech charging rate with volt meter you should get 13.5-14 volts at 4,000 rpm.

Ther is a short to ground in that area.
Power is going straight to ground.

Generally any big bike can hold up to 3.5L oil with filter change.
Rule of thumb when changing oil and filter is to fill the crankcase with about 2.5 - 3L oil and check dipstick on oil filler neck for indicator as it's normally marked high and low (max or min oil) that cn be in crankcase.

My battery (EB falcon) won't charge. I have swapped out 2 alternators and have used 3 different car batteries which all hold charge but still no luck. Is there a relay that can inhibit the charging...

Check the voltage at the hot terminal of the alternator with the engine running. If less that 13 vdc, you are not getting field voltage to the alternator. If the voltage is more that 13 vdc, check voltage at battery. If same at battety, system is charging. If voltage at battery is lower than at the alternator, the charge wire or fuse is bad.

New battery wont keep charge,new starter,starter selonid. could it be stator?

Asuming you have checked that the battery itself is holding its charge, neither the starter and or solenoide will have any affect on the charging of the battery, run a drop test on the Battery, even a new one could be faulty,
Next i would locate the regulator rectifier, this converts Ac from the alternator, into DC to charge the battery, here i would pay particular attention to the wire connector block, open the block and check inside for corrosion, also the wires on the outer of the block should be inspeted for corrosion which when oxidised turns green, check each connector and in turn pull on the wire to check for its condition,
Next i would visualy inspect the alternator for condition, you will find 3 yellow wires ie 3faze

My battery is draining fast on a full charge. Will start and ride for a little then will stall and not turn on again. I have checked wires and the batterie is good. What could be draining the battery...

It sounds like your bike is not charging. The headlight is draining the power. Locate the plug coming out of the motor that has three yellow wires. This is the alternator output. Check with a voltage meter. You should have continuity between all three yellow wires and no continuity between any of the three wires and ground. If the alternator checks OK then you probably need a new regulator/rectifier.

I have a 94 cbr 1000 f i put a new battery in it, ran it around for 3 days, now it will only start if its hooked up to jumper cables and if the cables are taken off it stalls right away with no delay

you have a charging problem check the charging voltage should be around 13.50v if it lows you probley have a faulty reg rec or genrator test the coils of the genrator three yellow wires that plug in to the reg rec you should have restance of around 0.8 ohms when cold and no continutiny to earth test that you have battery voltage on the red wire and that you have continutiny to earth from the green wire if all that is fine you have faulty reg rec

2000 honda cbr929 i have a new alternator but the end has a plug on it the other end the plug was cut off . i have three wires on each end ant they all are yellow do the have a sequence and if not the bike...

trace your wires coming into the batery from your stator if the wires arent grounded than i would think that you could hook them up and they would charge but i think you have a ground coming off the stator that has to be hooked up look up wiring schematics for your stator to the battery and go from there

Batterys will not hold charge

Right off the top of my head I would suspect the charging circuit. The way to check this is to measure the voltage at the batteries while they are on charge. The voltage reading when they are supposed to be charging should be higher that what you would read at the batteries when they are not charging.

These charging circuits are not complicated and any electrician type should be able to trouble shoot the circuit and find the problem

After performing a descaling cycle, the descaling light still flashes, what is wrong?

The manual states that after you descale, you have to hold down the hot water button for 6 seconds, that will turn it off and "reset the timer" till the next time it needs to descale.
