No. The electrical and fuel system are completely separate. Are you sure that the broken wire is electrical? Is it possible it is a fuel line or breather line that has split. Be careful as fuel (especially misted fuel) is highly flammable and can ignite with disastrous results.

My 93 dodge desiel was running and then it died now when I turn the key it blows the fuse

Look for any place engine torque might cause the harness to chafe and look for a direct short. look closely to any sharp edges your harness crosses. Just try to lift the harness here or there and hold it up to see if you have found the spot.
Is it on start mode when the fuse blows?

2000 Nissan frontier no tail lights, keeps blowing 10amp fuse. Disconnected both tail lights. Same problem.

Yes. Your 1/2 way to having it fixed. Now you have the problem narrowed down to a small area. Now trace the harness from where you have it disconnected to the tail lights.Look for a wire that is pinched or rubbed thru. Look close at wires in the tail light housing area. It will be something fairly simple you shouldn't have that much of a problem seeing it. Your on the right track and doing good.

1998 mazda protege running lights out

One of the light fixtures has a grounded power wire. Examine all light fixtures closely for bare or grounded wires. If you find nothing, trace the wiring harness to switch paying close attention to places where the wire harness passes through holes on the body for the harness. Any contact with the steel vehicle body from a power wire has the potential to cause a short, which will blow fuses faster than you can replace them. Start with the outside tail and marker lights. Also look for broken filaments inside the bulbs, as a broken filament touching another filament or wire inside the bulb can do the same thing. Good luck.

The gauges speed, gas, rpm and interior light all stopped working what could cause this in a 2003 dodge neon

Check the fuse that feeds the interior light. Could be that all of the above are on same circuit and when the fuse goes, they all stop working. If you get it working and fuse blows again, then you have some short in the wiring harness that is causing the fuse to blow.

I have a 1992 honda accord ex. The main relay would burn out everytime i start the car. Do u know what might be causing the problem?

Sounds like you may have some damaged wiring that is causing a short... The main relay is very sensitive and if ANY metal part of it arcs to another metal part of the car (i.e. bare wires)... It tends to blow out. Try checking the wiring harness to the relay and check for broken or exposed wiring.

You turn the handle bars to the left the head lights turn off

Sounds like you have a short. The headlight and the tail light are on the same fuse as well as a few other lights. I'd look closely right where the main harness goes from the frame to the front end. There is a lot of flexing and movement in the wiring harness in that area. Look for wires that could have been rubbed by the fairing.

Good Luck

Wiper fuse keeps blowing

Lets deal with the fan. Only two things can cause a fuse to pop. A short in the wiper motor. Unplug the connector on it. It the fuse does not blow now you need a wiper moter. If it still blows the positve wire going to the motor is touching medal somewhere. You will need to inspect the wire going from the fuse block to the wiper motor. . Also sounds like you have no power to the brake switch.. Another fuse issue or a broken wire somwhere before where you bypassed the switch

Eec fuse keeps blowing on mercury mystique

When you go to wide open throttle, the only thing that happens is your a/c cut out is activated by the throttle position sensor. I owuld check there, but it is very rare that the TPS would cause a fuse to blow.
You may have an engine wire harness that has the wiing insulation decomposing causing wires to short against each other. Peel open the plastic convolute and look for cracks in the insulation. Here is info on a Ford program to repair if less than 100,000 miles on your car.

October, 1999
To:
All Ford and Lincoln-Mercury Dealers
Subject:
Owner Notification Program 99M03 - Certain 1995-1997 Contour and Mystique vehicles - Under Hood Wire Harness - Additional Coverage.
PROGRAM TERMS:
This program provides extended coverage on certain under hood wire harnesses through 10 years or 100,000 miles which ever occurs first, from the original warranty start date. AFFECTED VEHICLES
Certain 1995 - 1997 Contour and Mystique vehicles built from Job #1 1995 through Model Year End 1997. REASON FOR RECALL
Under ambient factors of high temperature and high humidity, certain 1995 - 1997 Contour and Mystique vehicles may be susceptible to the wiring insulation becoming brittle and cracking on certain engine compartment wiring harnesses. These harnesses deliver electrical power to the engine and its cooling and control systems, the climate control, and other power distribution systems. If wire harness insulation cracking is found during the additional warranty period, the under hood wire harnesses are to be replaced at no charge to the customer. SERVICE ACTION
Additional Warranty Coverage
Effective immediately, Ford is providing additional coverage for the replacement of the under hood wire harnesses on these vehicles for a period of 10 years or 100,000 miles, which ever occurs first, from the original warranty start date. This coverage exceeds the provisions of the original component warranty coverage on the affected vehicles and is automatically transferred to subsequent owners at no charge. This additional coverage does not include normal service diagnostic or repair charges unrelated to wire harness brittleness and cracking.
