Question about Motorcycles

No high beam lights. But everything else works.

Hey I have a 2004 Yamaha V star 650 custom. My headlights work. Blinkers work. Brake Lights. The only thing that won't work is my high beam headlights. Just the low beam.

Hi Michael, check for continuity at your hi/lo beam switch and your headlight bulb for faulty filaments and continuity in the bulb socket and I am sorry you can't find the first and best tool you ever bought for your Harley but despair not for a mere $15.00 you can download another one. Lower beam went out, then when switched the switch to the upper beam it made a loud pop and blew the light. no fuses are blown and replaced the head light . now i have no light at all

Hi, Cheri if your headlight is not working, keeps burning out, blinking, or is dim the first thing you need to check is the headlight bulb for damaged filaments then check your light circuit fuse, that being said the usual suspects are:
1. Faulty ground or power supply wire to headlight bulb socket.
2. Worn, chaffed, or broken wires in the light circuit.
3. Corroded, broken, or loose pins/sockets in wire connectors.
4. Faulty hi/lo beam switch.
5. Faulty ignition switch.
6. Fuse is good but no continuity on both sides.
7. Faulty wiring between battery positive and headlight bulb socket.
8. Weak charging alternator/generator.
9. Faulty voltage regulator/rectifier, overcharging.

Just bought a 2003 yamaha v star but fog lights dont work, is there a certain switch for them?

This might be caused by one of two issues that come to mind off the top. I would check fuses to see if one might be blown, and two is I ride with my high beams on almost all the time. In cars, the fog lights are often on a circuit as such to only receive power on low beam lights and not work with lights on highbeams or when headlights aren't on.

Head lights on 1990 jeep wrangle won't work

Ckeck the headlight connections they are notorious for corroding. Check the ground connection for the lights. Pull your dimmer switch back as if you were flashing a car to pass and see if they work there. If they do you have a dimmer switch problem.
