Shifting into 1st or 2nd from Neutral stalls the bike. The clutch has stopped working
Hi,first thing to check is that the cable is not fried,
if its hidrolic then check theres know fluid leaking,
if its none of them, you will have to drain oil take side casing of to check that the mechanisom that controls the releasing of the clutch plates is ok,then you should have a look at the clutch basket that holds the clutch plates are fine no movement when pulled there should only be a verry slight bit of play, then you will need to check that the clutch plates are not buccled.
buy a haynes manuel that will help you.
hope this was some help.

Check for broken clutch cable or out of adjustment cable
If the wrong oil has been used or it has been stopped for a period of time the clutch plates will be stuck together requiring a pull down and replacement
