Are your lights flashing? Did you try changing the FOB battery? 2003 - 2005 were notorious for having the security module go out, unfortunately for those who have the HD security system because the security module is also the turn signal module and it usually means a new module, plus having HD program it (flash it).

SOURCE: Clutch Adjustment 1200R Sportster 2004

Slide the rubber cover off the adjustment nut on the clutch cable, loosen the lock nut adjust the cable until you have about an 1/8" play in your clutch cable at the lever. To adjust the clutch itself remove the derby cover, then the spring and retainer. Turn the post until snug and then back off a quarter to half turn, reassemble the derby cover.

There's a fuse panel either under the seat or behind the triangular plate on the left side of your bike. If you find a fuse blown or the main circuit breaker tripped, you'll have to figure out what caused it.

is the a spark when you try to start, is the fuel any good, you need disconnect a fuel line to see if the bike is pump gas to the carburetor.
make sure your battery at least 11.2 volts DC. check this first if you need more help email me and i will get more information for you.

I need to install a cigarette lighter


Is it a Harley part? If so, the red wire or wire with red connector on it goes to the positive terminal of the battery. The other wire goes to the negative battery terminal. If it is an aftermarket part, or just has 2 wires, the wire that is attatched to the body (the outside) goes to ground or the negative battery terminal. The other wire goes to power or positive battery terminal.

Check engine light on


You could get it recalibrated now but you'd have to get it done again when you change pipes.
