SOURCE: How much oil does the primary case hold on a 2000

It should hold between 36 and 44 ounces. Stand the bike as straight up as you can and still be safe. Remove the derby cover and drain the old oil. Refill the primary with oil until the oil level is right at the bottom of the outer clutch drum. If you fill it too high, your clutch will drag and you' will not be able to find neutral with the engine running.

Good Luck

1997 harley davidson 1340 evo engine has no oil pressure

MY 1995 1340 evo roadking oil light stays on at idle when the engine is hot, I've chenged the oil and filter using genuine harley davidson, changed the oil pressure switch and even done a full engine flush with 4 litres of flush oil which as made the oil light stay on until 1200 RPM's, before i flushed the system the light would go off at a round 1000/1100 rmp's.

Oil in primary on 1988 1340 harley

Use Harley's Formula + or Syn 3. If you use Syn 3, which is synthetic, you can use it in all three cavities, primary, transmission and motor. DO NOT put regular 20/50 in your primary or trans! When adding oil to the primary, fill it until the oil touches the bottom of the clutch with the bike standing upright. It will take a little less than a quart.

Do new 1450cc harley davidson engines use same oils in engine and transmission ?

If you use Harley oil from the dealer, you use 20-50w oil for the engine and they use special formulated lube that you use in both the transmission and primary,Some people do use the same oil in the engine, tranny and primary, I would not recommend it
