Question about 2003 Hyosung GV 250 Aquila

Just bought a gv250 2003 model with probably engine stutter problem,it usually happen at third gear and sometimessecond or fourth gear, especially when i want to accelerate to fast.any ideas?

I bought it 2 months ago , i had a full service from first week but nothing change , i took it to another mechanic ,still couldnt find the problem.its feel that i have the problem just before i change from third to fourth gear and from second to third gear,its when i need more power -acceleration but on first gear and last gear no problem,it works perfect. it sound a lot like this one https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAt4ailDkLk 1 min and 14 seconds until 1 and 20 seconds on the video

Hey Buddy, you may want to check your gas tank overflow vent or tube to make sure it isn't plugged therefore not allowing air to enter your tank as you burn fuel, some of these vents are located on your gas cap, if you can't find it, ask a mechanic to show you where it is.

Check the tank from inside- if it was not fully loaded with gas it tends to corrode during winter . Corrosion forms send like debris which creates problems for injectors.

More likely it is a slightly bent shift fork not fully engaging into second. The clutch and bearings are not suspect. Remove your foot from the shift lever then go full throttle in 2nd. Those new riding boots may be doing the magic unconsciously. Adjust the shift lever height if that is the problem.

Yes, change second gear and the gear it meshes up with. This is the voice of experience talking. Whatever caused the tooth to break applied the same pressure on the mating gear. That made the meshing gear weak such that as soon as pressure is on it again, it will break a tooth or two right away. See diagram below showing pinion gears, wheel gears and slider gears.

The ENTIRE engine tears down, top end, clutch, shifter, kick starter, flywheel and electrics, forks and drum, crankshaft etc. Needed tools are a flywheel puller, case splitter, torque wrench, impact driver and circlip pliers. This is not a beginners project. You can get a factory service manual and give it a try but I don't recommend it. The service manual may or may not have a power transmission diagram. I don't have a diagram for this engine.

SOURCE: I have a 01 rm 125. Just overhauled the engine,

if all other gears shif fine, only thing possibly wrong is the shifting mechanism, like bent fork, washer on shaft in the wrong spot etc most likely during overhaul, something was not put back in the right place

You may need a tune up . When was the last time you changed plug wires and had a decent tune up that will cause a vehicle to jerk when reaching higher gears the more strain on the engine the more it will jerk!!!

Transmisson wont shift from second to third


you may try reving engine alittle higher try shifting to fourth if that works your third gear sincroniser is shot

The two Codes are about the transmission. The gear ratios in third gear and fourth gear are wrong.

It will help if you can resubmit the problem and name the Brand and Model of the vehicle or add the info. I have not seen this set of Codes before, but it may be about the gearshift linkage not showing the correct gear. If this had an internal overhaul, the transmission may have been reassembled with these gears in the wrong place.

If this is an automatic trans with Electric shift solenoids, the wiring connector to the third and fourth gears is switched.

Lexxie Rock you say you paid 18,000 plus 10.000 in repairs for a 2005 Chevy Aveo? Are we talking US dollars or pesos? This car tops is not worth more than $ 5500.00, I think you need to call an attorney and forget putting any more money in this rag!

My van will not go past 2nd gear. I can drive it


You probably have a check engine lite with your gearing problem. Sounds like the ECU shut down the transmission portion of the vehicle.Usually the ECU gives you third gear and reverse only, when this happens. I recommend having the vehicle serviced by a transmission repair shop.

1997 Chevy P-32 step van (panel van, delivery van) with 4L80-E transmission: Truck drives and shifts properly in gears one through three, but slips as soon as it shifts into fourth. It will not pull at all...


the fourth clutch is burnt probably due to a bad 4th clutch piston seal... if you can get a good trans that cheap then you should just put one in it unless you are familiar with internal trans repairs...
