As long as you have kept the inside of the intake nice and smooth and got no grinding **** in the motor,if anything it should go better, there is a lot of scope for porting on 2 strokes, the factory makes the engine on an average use system,i have gotten an extra 10hp out of my nsr250r 2stroke by polishing and port work..cheap horsepower just time consuming, hope this helps

I recently rebuilt my 2002 YZ250 and lost my reeds. I purchased new boyesen rad valves. The bike runs great for about 10 minutes and then it dies, but it starts immediately back up. Does anyone know what...

Chances are that some trash has gotten into the float bowl and is intermittently plugging up the main jet. When the bike dies the suction on the jet dies, the trash is no longer blocking the jet and the bike starts right up.

Attemps to gind but no beans seem to get through Then the display indicates 'add beans' although it is full

Machine thinks there are no beans because it is not grinding. Most likely the grinder is blocked. The common causes are a small foreign object, a stale hard bean and moisture (either from water spillage or moist beans). The first thing you should do is vacuum ALL the beans out, set it to the coarsest grind setting and run the grinder a few times ( with no beans). Then put a small amount of fresh beans (make sure they are dry and not from fridge or freezer) in and try again. Give it a few goes. If it still wont grind have a good look down there, if it looks wet let it dry out for a while and try again. If none of thes easy tips help you will have to remove the top grinder burr and clean both burrs. Good luck.

Hi i have a 1998 yamaha yz 250 that when you start it it runs great for a while then it dies plug all coked up it has had carb check and had new piston and rings put a new plug in and she is fine then it...

Are you loosing transmission gear oil? I seem to remember an older bike I had with a crank seal issue. Gummed up plug is usually only 2 things:
1) Carb too rich. Check jetting or sticky float needle valve that will dump fuel into the intake manifold.
2) Too much oil (check mixture ratio or crank seals that is mixing crankcase oil with the fuel mixture). Either of these two oil issues should produce a massive amount of tailpipe smoking and a noticable drop in power.

1998 yz 125 acts as if it runs out of fuel while riding for about 2 seconds then runs fine for a while. [not good when aproaching a jump.] carburator is spotless inside ,floats are dry ,plug is normal...

If your carb is clean ..Sounds like you should look at your kill switch ...could be loose wire inside, grounding itself out ...hope this helps! other then that could be starving for fuel (carb adjust)
