Help with battery problem on Timex Ironman Triathlon after installing a new battery and reset, displays the message 846010 1.0 P1and the alarm is silent.

First disconnect, NEGATIVE cable, than the positive cable. Than remove the bolt or strap that is securing battery. Then when you install new battery, Connect POSITIVE FIRST, then negative battery.
Make sure battery is charged before installing in vehicle. It will save lots of tear on altenator.

You didn't say whether this was a factory or an aftermarket security system. Factory systems can usually be reset by using the key in the driver's side door, and turning key to "lock" then "unlock". An aftermarket system may benefit from having the ignition key in the "ON" or "RUN" position.
