SOURCE: what type of motor oil used in 1994 harley davidson 883

harley recomends that you use their oil but i would be carefull because it is a cynthetic now if you were using regular oil what that will do is clean all the old build up out of the motor this can be bad because after time there are pin hole leaks that occure but the build up stops it from leaking but if you use cynthetic you cant go back to regular oil it will gum up on you and ruen your motor so you got to find out what has been put in it. but use a 10-30

SOURCE: removing harley davidson ultra classic gas tank

Drain the fuel either by siphening or removing the cross over tube at the front of the tank and letting it drain that way or just block off those cross over lines and leave the fule in the tank for removal.

0) remove seat
1) drain fuel
2) undo cross over line (bottom front of gas tank.
3) shut off pet **** and remove fuel line from pet ****.
4)there should only be 2 bolts holding the tank on, one at the top front of the tank and one at the back of the tank.

All in all a pretty easy (but possibloy messy) job.

Turn the Bike on and the Radio off and then follow the buttons on the screen. Most people think you have to do it while it is running and this does not work

SOURCE: assy of starter clutch on 2003 Harley Davidson

The starter on a late model Harley is a typical Nippondenso gear reduction type starter. They are all basically the same except for size.
To replace the starter clutch inside the starter assembly requires disassembly of the starter assembly.

I you will contact me directly, I will scan the procedure and drawings out of a service manual for you.

SOURCE: owners manual for harley davidson p/n 71763-07

I checked the number you wrote and it does not come up as an owners manual. Most dealers charge $20 for bike's original owners manual. Repair manuals are $60 and up.

Hope it helps

How to remove electric reverse on harley

Hi, Terry for this scenario you will need your service/owners manual if you can not find the best tool you ever bought for your Harley Trike, despair not, for a mere $13 you can download a special package that includes a Service Manual, Trike Supplement, and an Electrical Diagnostic Manual. These manuals would cost $160 if you bought them from Harley.

Replace fuel pump in street glide

It's in the gas tank. Disconnect the positive terminal of the battery. Take the chrome cover strap off the top of the bike. There is a little plate under that. Your fuel pump is connected to that. Lift it up. Disconnect the fuel line. Unplug the electrical connectors. And carefully lift out of tank. Do reverse to install.

Electrical problems and **** in the gas tank can cause misfires. It sounds more electrical in your case. But draining and flushing the gas tank is a cheap fix. Could also be a coil or spark plug problem. Check for a faulty, fouled or cracked plug, check for a good spark, check the coil for carbon tracking. Check the plug wire connections too and the wires.
