Question about 2001 Harley Davidson XL 1200 C Sportster Custom
Hi Todd, the problem could also be in your left switch housing with broken, cut or pinched wires. I would try connecting a test lite to the negative side of battery and touching the positive terminal to make sure test lite works(very important) Then remove left switch housing and let hang. With the ignition switch turned on check for power to the turn signal switch by touching the solder connection or stabing the orange wire with the white stripe, if it lights good if not the problem is between the switch and accesory fuse. Then hold the TS button on and check the white wire with the purple stripe, if the test lite comes on the switch is good and your problem is in between the switch and the turn signal, if not you have a bad switch. Do the same for the high low beam switch, the blue wire is the power wire, the yellow wire is high beam, and the white wire is low beam or vise versa can't remember. Repair any damaged wires and or connections and carfully reinstall switch housing. Good luck

I would say that you may have a broken wire somewhere or a bad connection. Have a close look in the terminal box for a weak or bad connection and along the wiring harness for damage. You may have to lift the fuel tank to get to the main harness but have a look at the wiring that's easy to trace first. Start at the indicators and work backwards towards the main terminal box.
