if it has a oil light on and the oil reservoir is empty , the it would be reasonable assumption that unless there is oil available to mix with the fuel , it will not be allowed to start
It is a 2 stroke that has a metered amount of oil that varies according to engine rpms and is not a pre-mix situation that you have assumed it to be
so fill the oil tank with the correct 2 stroke oil, remove the oil mix fuel and save it for a whipper snipper or other small engine , fill the tank with the correct fuel and it will most likely start
The only thing to do now is to drain tank as well as possible and fill back with proper fuel mixture and crank and see if it runs without any problems. There is a fair chance that the tank was not completely empty and had a lil oil leftover inside when it was filled with the straight gas. If you drain and refill with mixed fuel and experience any problems, please indicate problems and I will try and assist you from there.
crack open an injector line and look for fuel at that point if no fuel there, take off oil filtertype fuel filter and look to see if it has fuel in it..we had a ford f650 superduty that a driver ran empty and were forever bleeding att hthe air out of the system to restart it..on diesels the system can have no air in the lines anywhere..so if the filter is empty, fill it before installing it...saves on the starter getting hot...in extreme cases you can pump pressure into the tank up to 20 psi and force fuel up front be careful on plastic tanks though...good luck and repost please...
Mr Allan first thing you must do is to renew the fuel filter, check if there is any other filters and then if you still have any old fuel in tank drain it,fill it up with a clean diesel and my personal advice as an automotive engineer try what I do personally, ask from a petrol station if they sell- " TWO STROKE OIL " yes is the oil use in mixing with petrol for mopped motorcycles. Use 250ml in tank full of diesel ,-full tank to empty -before light comes on and re-use again 250ml for another full tank and continued for four times. It is also good to do this even for two times filling every two months,. Two Stroke Oil has the power to clean and lubricate the feeding system of a diesel engine also treats the fuel injectors even when you might hear them working rough. It is like a cough medicine. Try it and let me know.
Fill the oil tank at the front of the saw with a non fling chain oil, or as thick an oil as you can get, fill the fuel tank with a 25-1 fuel oil mix, use a good, well known brand of two stroke oil designed to be used in chainsaws.
hi the sending unit is located at the very top of the tank to replace this part the tank will need removing to get to the top of the tank. Once the tank is removed its easy to remove the sender unit make sure your tank is empty first as it will be really heavy and hard to manage with fuel in the tank.
I you havnt got the use of a garage ramp or pit then it can be a big job removing the tank as it would involve removing all the fuel hoses and the filler hose from the tank to allow you enough freedom to get the tank off.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok
change the gas o grade . .. did you change anytime the fuel filter . maybe is clog,. also when you upgrade the gas, way until the thank is empty . when you fill up . dont give wrong but put some transsmicion oil in the gas tank about 2'o3 Tblspoons that helps the fuel pump
