Hi kimberly, if your indicator lights come on then the ignition switch is ok. First check to make sure you have a fully charged battery 12.8 volts and the connections are tight, use a test lite to make sure you have power on both sides of your instrument and accessory fuses, then check the connections at the turn signal canceller, also called a relay or module. Use the test lite to make sure you are getting power to the canceller at the orange wire with the white stripe. If evertyhing checks out ok then I would consider replacing the canceller. Good luck

Fusefor indicators 2008 captiva

Your problem is not a fuse if just the right front isn't working , same for all indicators .
Turn Signal Lamps
The TURN fuse in the fuse block - I/P provides ignition positive voltage to the turn signal relay. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the turn signal relay output to the turn signal switch assembly. The turn signal relay sends an ON-OFF voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator through the turn signal switch.

an it's not a bad relay , if there is no B+ voltage at the lamp you have an open circuit . You would need a wiring diagram to test circuit from turn lamp back to source voltage to find open . free wiring diagrams at www.bbbind.com . video on youtube testing voltage drop Mastering Voltage Drop Testing with Pete Meier and Jerry Truglia

My turn signals sometimes will quit working then I have to hit the hazard lights button leave it on and then turn my turn signals on then they work what causes this to happen

When the turn signals quit working pull up , down , front to back an back to front on the turn signal switch handle . Do they work when doing this ? Pontiac had bad switch . The power for the turn signals goes through the flasher / hazard module . Could be the switch or the module.
The HAZARD LPS fuse in the left hand instrument panel (LH IP) junction block supplies battery positive voltage to the flasher module, which is part of the hazard switch assembly. The TURN LPS fuse in the LH IP junction block supplies ignition positive voltage to the flasher module. The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in the ON position. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, current flow is from the flasher module's output to the turn signal switch assembly. The flasher module then sends an on-off voltage signal to either the left or right turn signals and their instrument panel cluster (IPC) indicator. When the hazard switch is pressed, all the turn signal lamps will flash including both IPC turn signal indicators.

Why are the amber lights at the front side and rear of my car illuminated and have drained my battery and can not switch them of when key in ignition?

If it is on only one side...
I have accomplished that on several cars by turning off the ignition while the turn signals were functioning...

Simply normalizing (center) the turn signal should shut the lights
(now lit steadily) .

Those car old Porsches & VWs were famous for that trick... but what surprised me was the NEW BMWs..!!. Their turn signals are little more than joy sticks... (mostly electronic)... but if you have MY turn indicator on.. and kill the ignition... bingo... there's that light... and yes... It does not go away

(at least in any time period I have been willing to wait).

OTHERWISE... you have a "latched relay" (stuck) problem.

Best thing there is to call a reliable dealer and get the part number and price of the associated "relay"...

Armed with that find yourself a competent technician who is not trying to single-handedly pay off the national debt.

Specific AUTO-FORUMS are a great place to swap all kinds of ideas... Some are actually correct/relevant and/or useable..

But first make sure your lights are NOT CAUSED BY your own turn signal.

(also provide: year, make, model... special trim package... etc.)

Good luck.

Passenger side turn signal flashes faster but dont work even at day runing light, comes on when head lights are on, replace bulb and socket because was melted but stilldoes the same

Turn Signal Lamps
The turn signal lamps may only be activated with the ignition switch in RUN or BULB TEST position. The T/SIG fuse supplies ignition voltage to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch is placed in either the left or right position, the turn signal switch sends an ignition voltage to the hazard lamp/turn signal flasher, which sends an on-off signal to the turn signal switch. When the turn signal switch receives the on-off signal it will send that signal to the following lamps on the LH or RH side:
?€¢
The Rear Turn Lamp

?€¢
The Turn Signal Indicator

?€¢
The Sidemarker Lamp

?€¢
The Sideview Mirror (Pontiac Thunder only)

The turn signal switch also sends a separate on-off signal to the Daytime Running Lamps (DRL) control module, which relays the signal to the appropriate front turn signal. The front turn signals are grounded at G101 and G102. The rear turn signals are grounded at G401. The sidemarker lamps are grounded through the corresponding front parklamp.
The sideview mirror turn signals are a bank of LEDs placed behind the mirror glass.
The hazard lamps operate on battery voltage. The HAZARD fuse supplies battery voltage to the turn signal switch. When the hazard switch is pressed, the turn signal switch sends battery voltage to the hazard lamp/turn signal flasher, which sends an on-off signal to the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch send the on-off signal to all the turn signal lamps, causing all the lamps to flash including both IPC turn signal indicators. The hazard lamp/turn signal flasher is grounded at G200.
When the parklamps are ON, the sidemarker lamps receive voltage from the park lamp supply voltage circuit and illuminate. The sidemarker lamp is grounded through the corresponding rear turn signal. When the turn signal switch is place in the left or right hand position, the rear turn signal illuminates and the sidemarker lamp will loose its ground, causing the sidemarker lamp to turn off when the turn signals are on and to illuminate again when the turn signal is off.
Which blub an socket did you replace ? check the other blub ? The switch and or the flasher module can cause this problem .
Replace the turn signal switch. Refer to Multifunction, Turn Signal, and Hazard Switch Replacement - On Vehicle in Steering Wheel and Column.
Did you complete the replacement?

My headlights stay on even when key removed but the turn signals still work

You might have a bad ignition switch. Do the other accessory power features stay on too? Eg .... Radio, blower fan... Do the turn signals still operate when key is removed? But a bad multifunction switch (turn signal, headlight switch) coukd also be bad.

The flasher unit (turn signal and hazard) starts the clicking sound as soon as the ignition key is turned on.

sounds to me the switch is bad, as if its stuck in the turn signal position, could be the relay or blinker faulty. Replace the blinker/relay and if thats all good, its your turn signal switch.

The furnance runs fine for about 3min. Then the burners go out. The fan limit is still closed, pressure switch is pulled in, and the manuel reset switch on the flue is not tripped. What's causing the...

On a call for heat, the 24 volt thermostat sends a signal to the control module. The control module will indicate a call for heat with a light on the control either blinking or remain solid depending upon model. The inducer (exhaust) blower will purge all gasses from the furnace and pressurize a pressure switch. Once the pressure switch tells the module to continue, the electronic ignition will energize and send 120 volts to the igniter. The igniter will glow and you will be able to see it if viewed thru the small inspection port. Once the igniter gets hot enough, it sends a signal to the module opening up the gas valve (24 volts). Either a pilot will come on or the burner tube will ignite then spread the flame to all burners. Lastly a safety sensor will be looking for a certain temperature within a few seconds and the furnace will continue to operate and the room air blower will turn on in a minute or two.

What could go wrong? The unit will not run if there is no signal from the thermostat (bad thermostat or broken wire), the control module does not sense a signal from the thermostat (bad control), the inducer does not energize (bad motor), the pressure switch does not close (blocked vent piping, bad switch, plugged condensate hose), the igniter does not energize (bad control, bad igniter), the gas valve does not open or there is no gas (bad gas valve, broken wire, no gas), the pilot does not light (dirty pilot), the burner does not light (bad burner, plugged orifice, not enough combustion air), the flame does not spread to each burner (bad flame spreader, dirty flame spreader, more bad burners), the flame safety sensor does not detect flame (dirty or bad flame spreader, bad flame sensor, broken wire, bad control), or the room air blower does not energize (bad fan motor, bad control).

Left hand turn signal light is stuck on even with the flasher unplugged what could be causing this?

First be sure you have the turn signal flasher out and not the hazzard flasher. If bulbs are on steady try un plugging the turn signal switch. sounds as if turn signal switch went bad.

My Samsung HDTV has a power indicator light on, that stays solid, but when i try to turn it on nothing happens. Any ideas?

Three causes here:1. There is a bad Power Switch or a stuck button on the tv. 2. The Remote Sensor in the tv is bad. 3. The Main bd is bad since it receives and controls all input control signals. Have trained Samsung tech troubleshoot the set.
