The cable is too loose so won't separate the cable from the flywheel. If the cable seems tight as it is, your clutch plate has worn down too far to grab the flywheel with pressure from the release bearing. I hope this helps you.

SOURCE: cant get clutch to engage after fiting new cable help please

the clutch may be stuck on. Put the bike in neutral, start the bike, run down the road looking like a fool jumping on and off the bike to kick it into 2nd gear and pumping clutch lever. Clutch should be free.

It might also be worth checking if your pushrod has a ball bearing in the end, I had one on mine, replace the clutch plates and it wouldn't work with the ball bearing in :)

My kinroad xt125gy wont start on electric start

providing the battery is fully charged and in good condition the starter motor should operate if you pull in either of the brakes with the side stand up a press the start button if it doesnt then its either
both stop switches are faulty
a faulty start button
a faulty starter relay
a faulty starter motor
a bad connection on the battery terminals
a bad connection on the starter motor
the starter relay is usually under the right hand seat panel there are two smaller wires on it one green (earth)
and one yellow/red wire live trigger feed from the start button the other two larger red live wires are
one from the live terminal of the battery
the other to the starter motor
so you cannot find the starter relay follow the live wire from the battery and you will find it.

The relay buzzing could be a couple of things. If you have a battery charger trickle charge the battery overnight and then try it.Check the battery terminals for a weak or loose connection. If the battery is fine then the starter relay may need replacing.Tap it a few times they can get stuck. If no joy try a new starter relay. good luck

We have 75 125 ke. my son developed a problem where as soon as you release the clutch , it surges forward then dies instantly, i've tried adjusting clutch cable but with the same results, could this be...

No, this is a clutch problem. I love these bikes, wish I still had mine. Need new cable and probably clutch plates. It's very easy to change the clutch. If you get stuck email me at andydrinkell@yahoo.co.uk and I'll talk you through it.

I think there must be a difference on the shape between the new and old clutch lever, try to adjust the clutch cable adjuster, the adjustment must be a little tighter you grip the lever, try to adjust at your freference

it is not uncommon with a lot of bikes, but i would adjust the clutch first and it should stop the drag. adjuster is at bottom of cable on crankcase

Coupling is stuck / sticks together

Is the bike shooting forward while you have the clutch lever pulled in or when you let it out? If it's when you let it out you have to do it slower and roll on the accelerator so that it doesn't stall. If you have the clutch lever all of the way in and it shoots forward you may need to see a mechanic... I'm sorry if this doesn't help much.
