I don't blame you for wanting to do this yourself. Be sure to use a harley filter and harley oil.
Drain the oil, replace o ring on drain plug, replace drain plug, remove oil filter, fill oil filter with 20/50 harley davidson oil and replace filter being careful not to overtighten, fill oil tank with the bike upright to the fill line on the dipstick. Take the bike for a short ride and check the fluid level while warm.

are you sure you didnt drain the primary case oil they usually hold a little less than a quart.. dont run it until you make sure or you could burn clutch and primary chain up.

Make sure you do not overfill the primary. when putting the oil in the primary, have the bikes standing as straight up as possible. Add oil only until it comes to the bottom of the clutch spring. If you put too much oil in the primary, the oil will get in between the plates when the clutch is released and act like the oil in a automatic transmission torque converter. It will continue to drive just enough so that you cannot find neutral with the engine running.
Otherwise, you must make sure all clutch adjustments are correct. Loosen clutch cable all the way. Adjust clutch release adjuster behind derby cover, all the way in and back off one half to one complete turn, readjust cable for 1/8" freeplay.

camplate check valve sticking, good time for an upgrade SEcamplate, hydraulic camchain tensioners, high volume oil pump, comes as complete kit for about $420. add another $150 for adjustable pushrods and never worry about it again,or replace the existing component youd save maybe $180 bucks but youll be back
thats why they changed the camplate and tensioners in 07, I just did the complete conversion on an 02 heritage it costed with labor about 1100 in your case your looking at 7 to 800 dollars just to get you going for another 30 or 40,000 miles or less and then do it again Im for a 1 time fix myself

You can test it by applying voltage directly from the battery to the starter where the green wire is connected. If this causes the starter to engage, then adding a relay will probably solve your problem..Also, if your glide is equipped with a clutch safety switch, check that. You can can do that by bypassing it to test. I'm not sure if the 92 had it or not, but thought i would mention it because i have seen that be the problem before. Of course, make sure your "run" switch is in the run position---Hope this helps.
