1995 NISSAN MAXIMA STALLING WHEN IDLING

How long has it been since your timing belt has been changed? And have you been loosing water lately?

the problem is fuel related and nowhere else
it indicates a vacuum leak , either at the manifold , brake booster , transmission actuator hose/unit for the transmission or hoses that control under that dash
bad at stopping at light indicates that it is the brake booster
simple test is to put the hand brake on, start the engine and if it idles ok , put your foot on the brake
if still ok move vent controls ,
if with the foot on the brake it plays up , replace the brake booster

Most definetely will cause all of the above with an exhaust leak especialy if it is a decent size leak.Let me know if this helps

Yes, it can, How long is car staying on? Can you drive the car by keeping some gas to car or is it just stalling?

if you notice it when it is wet out then i would do a tune -up but if not i would check the fuel injectors because they are a very very common problem with these years of cars. i do them all the time.

a mechanic can actually do it foir free if they nice enough. take to mechanic and tel them to adjust idol.. really easy.

adjust the idling, if too low then it can't sustain the power needed to keep the engine running when it engages.
