Question about Honda Motorcycles
IF CABLE, loosen the lever end right off, then remove the engine cover where it enters, a 10mm nut will be visible, and a flat screw head, use a screw driver to hold it tight, and 10mm to slacken the lock nut, using screw driver tighten to just a stop, then loosen quarter a turn, lock 10mm nut, keeping flat screw driver holding the head tight, same as any cable bike clutch.

No adjustments or measurements needed.. The key thing is the clutch plate installation sequence. If the outer plate is a fiber plate, then you need to be sure the new clutch has a fiber plate as its' outer plate.

You can add a headlight if the type of ignition system on your particular model is the type that will let you. Several different systems were used back then. The proper system will need a lighting coil installed onto the plate underneath the flywheel. The flywheel must be pulled off. You will see a coil there already for the spark. An unused set of threaded screw holes is present, (the same plate was used on the bikes that had a headlight). Just add the coil and now you have power for a headlight.

First thing is to make sure you don't have motor oil in the engine. Wet clutches and motor oil are not compatible. Use only the oil sold at motor cycle shops. Do that before tearing into the engine or making any radical adjustments. Good Luck -Ned-

it will be down to adjustment, there are 2 ways to adjust one close to the engine casing and one at the lever just have to get a good balance :)
