My guess would be an ignition issue. At night or somewhere you can make dark fire the bike and let it idle. Using a spray bottle spray a little water onto the spark plug area of the engine while looking for visible sparking. If none, spray water further up where the coil is. If you see any sparks and/or the engine dies you may have some cracked insulation or just dirt & carbon tracking that can be cleaned off and back to working. If insulation is damaged you may be able to wrap it in electrical tape and be fine. If you repair it re-test to know it'll work when wet again.

Once engine gets warm car refuses to start

with all engines, (otto cycle)
any engine Gasoline
1: compression drops hot. (valve lash is tops here)
2: lost spark. (did you check all 4 cyl for lost spark?) now is the time. (ill assume you can google,or youtube that , endless examples... and more every day.)
3: bad fueling. (complex but)
the tests is same 1920 to now, it's called LOOK at the spark tips.
are they dry, or wet.?
if dry do a test fuel run. (buy test fuel and use it)
if wet , (1st tune up in 19years.??????)
if wet diagnose flooding. (ask) complex answer.

the other possible is lost 12v power to the EFI system.
even an intermittent fuse. check power on all EFI fuses. at failure point, in fact all tests above are , yes, at the failure point.
not a perfect running car.

Whats the cause of high revs after cleanin the engine when starting it

you obviously have gotten water in somewhere not meant to get wet. if it hasn't fried anything it should settle down as it dries out.

Driving home tonight all of a sudden the EPS like came on the Water light Engine light and the RPM needle wont move??

I think you have answered your own question here as modern cars use a computer to change gears and their is a big electrical plug on the side of the gearbox and its highly probable that this plug is wet ,it should dry out after a couple of days hopefully if not you will have to jack the car up and disconnect the plug and blow it all out with a airline but just a natural drying process should do the trick
