Hi ngohenri
There are not enough numbers in the VIN you have provided. It should be 17 numbers. Can you please check for all the number provided.
thanks

    Hi again

The "VIN" you provided looks like the engine number. The VIN that you can use to identify the Bike will be on the frame of the motorcycle. The VIN system has been a world wide standard for more than 30 years. You can easliy find all the info about your bike using the VIN convertor on this page.

Here is some general information rewgarding the VIN system for your general understanding.

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vehicle_Ide...

    or this site in America

    http://www.vehicleidentificationnumber.c...

If you cannot find the 17 charactor VIN on your frame... check your registration papers. If you have no luck at all, there is no way to find the info you need without the full number.

    regards

If it is just the year you are after, the 8th digit back from the last charactor of the VIN is the year of manufacture. From the "VIN" you provided, it is a 2001 machine

What year is this motor for my yz 125 2GH002519

Most motorcycle vin numbers follow the same pattern, according to your number, it is an '05.

yz,,,,125,,,, 2,,,,,,,,,g,,,,,,,,,h,,,,,,,,,,,,0,,,,,,,,,0,,,,,,,,,2,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,5,,,,,,,,,1,,,,,9,,,,,,,
dirt,,,,,mod,,,liquid,,,,,,,,size,,,,,,hp,,,,,check no.,,,,year,,,
street,,,,,,,,,,,,,,air,,,,,,,,,engine

Even though yours doesn't follow exact, it should be close. Some will use codes for the years and other stuff. Look it up on line, you should find it.
my 99 uses x for the year code and my 02 uses 02. Is the YZ a dual sport or dirt?

Could i find out the size and year of a bike by its serial number. it is Hf00-002288

That sounds like the engine number. You need the 17 digit frame number, ( VIN number ). Get the VIN number then go to the site below to see exactly what you have.

I purchased a imported yamaha yz450f need to find out year model vin:CJ10C027008 ENG: J324E027999 THANKS..

VIN numbers are usually 17 digits long so it appears you are missing some numbers/letters. If you find the full 17 numbers, enter them into this website and it should tell you all you want to know.

Year identification of yamaha yz250 engine number 1lu oo3560

The engine number will not give you what you need. The VIN is the key. You will find the VIN number stamped into the center steering stem that the forks attach to. Call a Yamaha dealer with the VIN and they can tell you what year and model of bike you have.

A “very helpful” rating for this answer? Thanks!

Vin location

It should be located on the right hand side of the down tube. Turn the handle bars to the left and look on the right side of the down tube. If it is not there or has been filed off most likely it is hot.
