No spark to front coil pack

Judging by your question you have automotive experience though for safety sake I will have to state some precautions anyhow. With the engine running and in park with the emergency brake set. Check your working coil packs "hot" wire with a multi meter. Set to 12 volts and check amperage and volts delivered. I would recomend checking each of the working cylinders if possible to establish base line readings. If you are receiving similar readings on the down cylinder then you have a short in the coil pack and it will need replaced. If you are not receiving a similar voltage and amperage you likely have a short and should trace the feed wire for that coil. As with all repairs if you are not absolutely sure of your capabilities to fix the problem you should seek the help of a professional. Happy motoring.

Those codes are Misfire codes, I would change the spark plugs, check or replace coil packs or wires, check or clean fuel injectors, and replace fuel filter.

Replace spark plugs 2004 dodge intrepid

Changing Spark Plugs

First off, on this model you don't have plug wires, you have coil packs with a boot and coil connected to the pack. The boot slides on the tops of the spark plug. The good thing about this is that you don't have to mark each wire to its location.

So to replace the plugs you need to disconnect the electrical connector to the coil pack and then unbolt the two bolts that mount the pack down, then remove the pack.

Next with a ratchet, an extension and a special spark plug socket, which has an insulator inside to protect the porcelain from getting cracked, remove the spark plugs.

Next step is to replace the plug, usually I slide off the boot from the coil pack and then remove the coil from inside the boot and slide the boot over the spark plug and start to thread the plug back in. Using this method allows to you feel if you are threading the plug in right. Then with a torque wrench you would torque the spark plug to the specs for the type of engine you have.

3.2/3.5L Engine (20 ft-lbs)
2.7L Engine (13 ft-lbs)

Next reinstall the coil pack with the two mounting bolts, it is only necessary to hand tigthen the two bolts. Then plug back in the electrical connector and continue this process on the next 5 spark plugs.

To remove the map light bulbs you need to first remove the overhead console.

To do this you need to remove the screw at the front of the overhead console (which is more towards the front windshield).

Next you need to pry down on the rear of the overhead console and then disconnect the electrical connectors.

Then, with the overhead console pulled down, pull of the map light bulbholders and replace the bulbs.

Installation is the reverse of the removal process.

Where is the coil pack located under the hood

Follow the spark plug wires away from the spark plugs. The coil packs are on top of the ignition module. The coil packs have two terminals each and will have two spark plug wires attached to each coil pack. There are 3 coil packs and I would recommend replacing all three at once. They are bolted down to the ignition module bracket with a total of 6 small screws. Two per coil pack. Remove the small screws and the electrical connectors and the plug wires. Dont forget to mark the wires so you can replace them as you found them. Installation is just the opposite of removal.
