The clicking is the solenoid use a test light and see if the starter is getting power when the start button is pressed connect test light to ground on battery and place tester on the bolt holding the wire going to the starter press starter button and the test light should light up if it does then you have power to the starter and it may need rebuilding or replacing

Follow the positive (Red) cable from the battery and you should find the starter solenoid. If you touch it and press the starter button you should feel it click so you know you have located the correct part. They do vary slightly between models but there will be 2 connections on it, 1 being the red cable you have followed and the other bolted next to it that heads off to the starter motor. If you take a screwdriver and short across the 2 bolts the engine will turn over and maybe start. Be careful to only short the 2 bolts momentarily and do not make contact with the frame. If it does turn over as though trying to start then the problem lies with the solenoid and is an easy job to replace with another suitable one. Good luck and let us know if it works.....or not.

I a 2000 Lesabre and the tach speedometer and turn signals stopped working looking online people with the same problem say check fuse 12 under the seat Ignition 1 but there is no power at that fuse.

Looking at electrical distribution diagrams would show where that fuse gets B+ voltage from. Go here to view electrical distribution for your vehicle . https://www.bbbind.com/free_tsb.html Enter vehicla info. year , make , mode an engine size. Under system click on electrical distribution .Then under subsystem click power distribution . Find your fuse an look up stream .

2002sts wont start getting one click and abs and traction control light stay on

Is the battery , battery cables , and connections all good ? The ABS and the traction control lights being on wouldn't have anything to do with not starting . The check engine light should be on with the key in the on position , should stay on till the engine is cranked over . The battery is under the rear seat .

Aurora 4.0 im stumped checked starer relay and car still wont start clicking ssound comin from backseat jumped it whats wrong

What year vehicle ? The clicking sound you hear from bake seat is probably a relay ! There is a fuse / relay box under the back seat ! How did you check the starter relay ? Just pull it out an look at it ? Was it #36 START 1 Relay
-- Starter Solenoid and PCM in the under hood fuse / relay Box ?
This relay is computer energized - PCM supply's a ground to circuit 447 which energizes the relay sending voltage to the starter S terminal engaging the starter . Do you have a test light or a volt ohm meter ? If you pull out the starter relay an look on the bottom you will see some numbers , 85,86 an 30,87 . match them up to the holes they came out of . Check out this video on YouTube ,you can check for voltage an computer control . Is the SECRUITY light lit on the dash ?

My thundercat wont start, the power comes on and my alarm works. when i start the ignition i hear a ticking coming from a small black box under ther seat but not even a whisper from the engine

Hi, Anonymous and the usual suspects are:
1. Ignition Switch not in the "ON" position.
2. Engine Run Switch in the "OFF" position.
3. Discharged battery, needs to be 12.5 volts or better and be able to pass a load test if necessary.
4. Check the battery terminals for damage or corrosion check the battery cables at "BOTH" ends for loose, corroded, or broken connectors, "INSIDE" and outside the cable harness, perform connector wiggle test and check cables with an ohmmeter if necessary.
5. Bank angle sensor tripped and ignition/light key switch not cycled to the "OFF" position and then back to the "ON" position.
6. Faulty ignition switch.
7. Faulty starter button.
8. Faulty kickstand or clutch pull in switch/sensor.
9. Security alarm needs a reset.
10. Starter control circuit, relay, or solenoid faulty.
11. Main fuse or circuit breaker may be blown or faulty.
12. Electric starter shaft pinion gear is not engaging or over-running starter clutch slipping.
13. Check for engine trouble codes.

JOHN DEERE LT150 WILL NOT START. STARTER MAKES NO NOISE

check the battery first. if the battery is ok sit on seat and turn key, you should hear the solenoid clicking. if not using a testlight check fuses under bonnett,if all ok check that you have power at both starter solenoid heavy wires and one small wire while turning the key.it is advisable to get someone to sit on seat while doing these checks for your safety. There is a start inhibit switch under the seat to prevent engine starting when nobody is siting on seat

Wont start, clicking and all dash lights on. relpaced starter no go.

check the starter and ignition fuse. starter fuse is located in the fuse box in your engine bay, ignition fuse is located in the kick panel which is right under your steering wheel.

Help my mercedse says display faulty visit workshop. it wont start. i just had a full sevice performed and was told it can drive far distances. the lights, radio etc work just zero response from engine

Have you checked your fuses? Check your owners manual for location of your fuse boxes. Normally under rear seat and under hood in mercedes. Check the reference card in the fuse box for any fuses corresponding to the engine,I.E. engine, Fuel pump, etc. Check those fuses to see if any are blown. If the fuses are all good then it is probably the ecm (electronic control module).

Bike wont start even lights on dash wont light up fuses good

There should be a main fuse under the seat. If that's not it, check your battery connection.
