Question about Motorcycles
Nearly all batteries have two polarities one negative and one positive. You need to be very careful not to get these switched or you could fry all of it.
About 90% of them are also color coded for safety, red for positive, black for negative. Also the terminals have a "sign" this - for negative and this + for positive.
Always connect the positive first and the negative or "ground" cable last to reduce sparking chances. Sparks can ignite the gases created by a battery.
Be sure everything is turned off before you do any of this.
Finally check online for a PDF file manual for your model and simply follow the steps.
