I accidentally hit the kill switch on my scooter when it was running, now i can't get it to start at all. what do i need to do??

Hi, Beth it is possible that if you rarely use the kill switch it has become contaminated and faulty, you may be able to remove and refurbish the contacts or replace if necessary. For more information about your issue please click on the links below. Good luck and have nice a day.

I have a craftsman 2400 watts generator where does the wire that comes off the kill switch connect to

A kill switch wire works by stopping power to the switch by connecting to ground..usually the engine..but any unpainted surface will do..just make sure it is a clean contact and tight..good luck..

How to jump wire by pass the kill switch on 2000Honda Spirit VT 1100C

It would be much easier to just pull the switch housing off,and clean and grease the contacts on the kill switch. But if you MUST eliminate the switch, its only two wires that youll need to cut away from the switch and connect them together.

While riding my 1993 honda goldwing it will just quit running. i have to pull over and turn the key off then back on to restart. what might be thr problem?

sometimes the key cylnder looses contact or doesnt stay in the position. remove extra stuff from key ring. Use contact cleaner in key switch(not key hole), it could be a kill switch issue as well.if kill switch in in run,and just touching it kills it clean it.(no oil) if this doesnt fix it repost include what you have done and we will try again

I have a 2006 Qlink Rodeo 400 atv that has ignition problems. It doesn't always have fire when you cut the key on. I have replaced the ignition coil, starter solenoid and regulator, none of which have...

From the way you have described it, I would say that you've got a bad electrical connection in either the ignition switch, the kill switch, or in one (or more) of the plugs that connect the various ignition components to the wire harness.
Try spraying some electrical contact cleaner (available at RadioShack) in the kill switch and in the ignition switch contacts (if accessible). Also check all of the wire harness electrical connectors for corrosion - especially if your ATV has been (as most are) operated in wet conditions. Unplug each one, clean any corrosion from the connectors, and re-connect. Carefully tighten loose connectors with pliers before re-connecting. Do the same thing where the harness ground attaches to the vehicle chassis.

Bike wont kick over

do u have any spark at the spark plug. When the kill switch is faulty it won't give any spark try disconnecting. sometimes this kill switch grounds itself or the contacts stay closed. For it to have sparks contacts should be opened. This kill switch grounds the coil so the engine stops running

Switch issue

There are two solutions to your problem. First remove and disassemble the switch housing. Clean and adjust the switch contacts. Reassemble and reinstall the switch housing. Second, tale it to a shop.
