Question about Zongshen Motorcycles
I have a zongshen 200cc quad that is not producing any spark, can you please help me identify the problem? It may have something to do with the wiring as when I got the bike someone has tampered with all the wiring. I have so far been able to get it to tune over and this is where my dilemmas start. I have added this photo so you have som understanding of what I mean . A complete wiring diagram would be helpful if you have one handy. Regards Hudson
Go online for the nearest dealer and see what he's got. These are cheap imports with very little support so you could have trouble.

SOURCE: hi i have a dinli
I assume that is a 100cc, 2 stroke ATV? If the starter motor is spinning, and you just don't have any spark. First, replace the spark plug. If that doesn't fix it, then you may have one of the following problems: Bad CDI, Kill Switch or Rip Cord Shut off switch, Frayed wire shorting out, cracked/damaged spark plug cap, bad coil or coil wire, bad stator. My bet is on the kill switch and/or Lanyard/Rip Cord shut off switch or the CDI. You can bypass your shutoff switches to see if they are the problem by either disconnecting the wires or connecting them together(depending on the type of system you have). CDI's routinely fail on small engines and generally cost about $20-$70, depending on the style. www.solanocycle.com

Check the kill switches including the side stand switch, with an Ohmmeter. Good battery? Good fuses" All wires clean and with a solid connection? Check the loom. Any abraded wires? Check the operation of the ignition switch with a volt ohmmeter. Is the bike in neutral and the neutral light is lit up? Get new stock spark plugs.
If still no spark, get CDI system and coils checked at the dealers shop.
