2002 kawasaki VN 750 Vulcan hard to start when cold

Hi, Gd2bbahun I would take it back to the dealer and have them fix it properly or ask for a refund and the usual suspects are:
1. Fuel cap or fuel tank is not venting properly.
2. Fuel filter clogged.
3. Fuel line pinched or kinked.
4. Vacuum line from the petcock to intake manifold cracked.
5. Float needle and seat sticking.
6. Float level too low.
7. Carburetor bowl vent line clogged/blocked/pinched.
8. Idle adjusting screw set too low.
9. Air/fuel mixture screw set too lean.
10. Idle port, transfer ports, slow air jet clogged.
11. Slow fuel jet clogged.
12. Faulty fuel pump.

I have a 1995 kawasaki ts jet ski it runs but goes really slow will not hit high end. i just got this jet ski it looks like the carb and lower end of motor is new. i did find some water in carb and cleand...

If the carburetor was properly cleaned including the teeter-totter float needle then you may just have accidentally changed the setting screws. Try setting the the high end and low end adjustment screws the standard settings are: Low speed screw: 3/4 turns out (+ or - 1/4 turn for fine tuning) high speed screw: 1 1/4 turns out (+ or - 1/4 turn for fine tuning) If the previous owner rebuilt the whole machine but could not figure out why the boat would not rev out, the next thing to do is remove the water box and and split the halves. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1995-kawasaki-750-ss-jh750a4/o/m3253#sch27834 If a mouse nest has been built in the exhaust system the extra back pressure could be the problem. If the exhaust coupler has broken rubber tubes, has come apart, or has not been put together correctly that might also be the cause of the problem. http://www.bikebandit.com/houseofmotorcycles/1995-kawasaki-750-ss-jh750a4/o/m3253#sch29444

Oil leak at the head gasket of a kawasaki 750 91 zephr inline 4 air cooled 4 stroke. is it bad or easy to fix? & how?

Not super hard but you will need to be able to reset the cam timing.
If you set it on TDC number one, and check the cam sprocket marks before you pull it down it will be easier to put back together.
Take a photo and or mark it with a white paint pen to help
then it just remove cam caps , cams, head bolts etc , ( there is usually a couple of bolts inside the cam chain tunnel)
The engine should stay in the frame

How to change my oil on a kawasaki ninja 750

Get the bike so it is setting upright.
There a plug on the under side of the motor. Remove the plug and have a catch pan to catch the old oil. The filter will need to be changed also. Do this before you put new oil in. Put the plug back in and open the fill plug on the side of the engine and fill with new motorcycle oil. DO NOT USE OIL FOR CARS!! Watch that you do not over fill it.

Have 1979 kawasaki kz750 twin, how many turns on carbs to set correct fuel settings to keep from backfire

Your bike's engine is back firing ..this could be because of low level of fuel in the float chamber.
If you have cleaned the carbs , please recheck and reset the float chamber level.
Secondly both of the carburators have to work exactly at the same time..if they dont it will also kinda back fire and have uneven idling...check this too.
As for the air mixture screw .. once all is fine ....tighten the screw slowly all the way in to the last thn unscrew about 2 and half to 3 turns outwards .....you will notice the improvement of the idling.... its adivseable to check the valve clearance and reset them to specs.
Hope this helps!

Just had same problem. Take carbs off and clean all jets and bowl. Be carful front and rear carb have different sized jets. When you put quad back together put entire airbox together even the cover. This quad will backfire unless air box is complete. I bet you anything your carb is full of trash.
