Hi,all you have to do is follow wires from brakelight to underneath the seat, get the the wires from the box and use electrical connectors that splise in to the wire so no need for cutting, you can get them from a spares shop.
hope this was some help.

Hi Bryan, under the seat you schould be able to see a wiring harness coming out of the rear fender. With a test lite hooked to ground or negative side of battery turn on ignition and find the wire that lites up the test lite when the brakes are applied, then find the wire that lites up the test lite only when ignition is on and goes out when ignition is turned off this will be your tail lite. Splice into these and run them up to your new top box. Look in the bottom of the box for a hole that might already be there if not you will have to drill one to allow your new wires to run through. You also need a ground wire running from the top box to a ground on the frame or ground lug or negative side of the battery. This means you will have 3 wires running into the top box. good luck

What color are the wires for trailer brakes on a 2004 Ford E350 and where are they located

trailer brake wires are normally piggybacked from the rear tail lights. Check either side and look for extra wires at a light assembly

How to wire aftermarket turn signals

The stock rear function ONLY as turn signals, while the fronts ALSO function as running lights (hence the extra wire).
On the aftermarkets, one wire will be the ground (usually BLACK).
The stock setup probably grounded through the metal casing.
The aftermarket housings MIGHT be plastic, so they need a separate ground wire.
Myself, I'd reverse them and wire the 3 wires to the rear, to have them act as extra brake lights also.

Brake lights out

check system fuse, check out brake light bulbs, check the brake light switch thats on top backside of brake pedal. it may need replaced or adjusted. Use a test light that is grounded and with the key in the "on" position test for power at one side (wire) of the switch, then press the brake pedal while testing the opposite side (wire). It should illuminate the test light, if electrical power is connected through the switch go to the next step. If no power is detected through the switch the brake light switch has failed and replacement is required. If your car is equipped with more than two wires integrated into the brake light switch a car repair manual is needed to locate the proper brake light circuit wiring.

Behind the arm of the brake pedal on older cars is a black box with a push button that turns on your lights. You maybe able to free it up by pulling it out, but most of the time they have to be replaced as there is no way to open them up and clean them up.

2007 Dodge Ram 2500,Engine light is on and the abs and brake lights. Also the Speed odometer is not working

There are two sensors that can cause this. One is located on top of the rear axle pumpkin, and the other is either on or inside the trans.

I would check the rear axle one first as it should be the cheaper and easier of the two.

Have just put an after market LED tail light on and a YZ rear guard and got some extra wires left over. The tail light works but the brake light won't come on! All the indicators work too. Model WR450F 06...

You will have to take a test light and place it on the extra wires and apply the brake to see which wire is for the brake light. When you have asstablished that then that wire will need to be attached to the side of the light that has the brightest, element, which is used for the brake light.

Brake Lights not working

The brake pedal switch on most cars or trucks is near the top of the brake pedal assembly where it pivots under the dash. As you move the pedal it releases the switch.

Wiring p fan speed cotrol switch

most common fanlight control is 2 dimmer switches in parallel to control fan spped and light, direction is still usually controlled on the fan body
requires 3 wire in the light box, and a compund dimmer, this one has left and right and fits a single switch box
where a fanlight is used to replace a regular household fitting there is often only 2 wire in the switch box, either a sparky can fishtape an extra cable along the lamp cable, or replace the wire,
the 3 wires from the fanlight are light fan and neutral

some new retrofit fanlights have remote controls to negate rewiring
