Sounds like the carb is gummed up or a jet or something in the carb has a slight blockage might need to check the carb over and either clean the carb yourself or have someplace else rebuild it or clean it

Farmall Super A, rebuilt carburator, cleaned tank and lines but will not run smoothly unless choke is pulled out at least 3/4. Any suggestions?

You have an obstruction in the main jet circuit of your carburetor. That is why you need to choke it - give it gas.

My farmall a will only stay running with the choke fully on. It has no power when in use. Possibilities?

Sounds as if the primary fuel intake inside the carb sounds plugged with either old fuel or junk that got past the fuel filter into the carb. Will require disassembly and thorough cleaning of the carb. I have read of some success with a product called engine med, available on Amazon, that will clean out gummed up fuel systems- with good reviews. I do not have experience with this product.

What is the normal position of choke?

The choke butterfly should be open so that it doesn't close the carburettor. If the choke is closed the engine will idle very fast or you will not be able to accelerate properly. Move the choke in the other direction and if it runs porperly then the choke is off. Running with the choke on will destroy your fuel consumption.
