Did you signup for the free trial? After the free trial is over they will automatically bill you. If you NEVER signed up for anything dealing with Amazon Prime, contact your credit card bank (or whatever) and report a fraudulent charge.

In order to cancel your Amazon Prime membership you need to:

1. Go to https://www.amazon.com/gp/primecentral
2. Enter your login information
3. If you are a paid member you will see an option for "End Membership", if you are a trial member you will an option for "Do not continue". Click on whatever one is applicable.
4. Confirm your cancellation and it should take effect immediately.

Yes, you might have clicked for the trial for Amazon prime by accident, if you did get the trial and did not cancel it within 30 days they charge you then. I already got the trial of Amazon prime because I wanted to order something that was $100 or so dollars and prime gave me that discount. I used it several times within that month, it was nice getting that discount, but unless you use its often, the price they get for it is not worth it for one time use.

Amazon recently, and I think ongoing, offered a 30 day free trial of their Prime service which I think is $99.99 per year. During the sign up you would have given a card number for charging. At the end of the trial period you were charged because you had not cancelled the trial.
In order to cancel your membership you will have to log on to your Amazon account and cancel Prime Membership, and then contact them, or perhaps your card provider to get your subscription back.

Amazon have run several free trial periods for Amazon Prime which has certain benefits, and at the end of the trial period they charge the annual fee, £79, to a registered card, unless you cancel within the trial period.

You do not need to sign in to Amazon for this but you will have to to Manage Your Prime Account, if you wish to cancel Amazon Prime membership.
