I have a 1995 zx7r. Worked fine for a while, then it died on me one day while I was out. I jumped it and it was fine for the drive home. Recently, I've had to jump it every time I leave it sitting for a while. I already replaced the battery, same thing happens. Last time I took it out it even started to die while I was driving it. This is my first bike and don't know too much about them. Could the spark plugs have anything to do with it? Any help is appreciated!
Yeah, I know. I just don't know enough about them to know what could be causing it not to charge, and then for it to die while I'm ridingYeah, I know. I just don't know enough about them to know what could be causing it not to charge, and then for it to die while I'm riding

This engine is electronically controlled so the first thing that must be done here is to have the systems control computer tested for fault codes and then do the proper diagnostics based on those codes.
sounds like it may be a bad alternator. jump start the car and if it gets going disconnect the negative battery cable and if it dies you have a bad alternator. It may die as soon as you unplug the jump start cables.
I just went through lots of troubleshooting and expense on my 1996. Whenever I would lift my foot off the accelerator and was below about 30 mph, the rpm's would starts jumping around and sometimes it would stall. If I gave it a little gas (accelerator), I could sometimes keep it running. It also backfired once in a while. Starts right back up. Also, if I let it idle while in part, it would die after 1-2 minutes.
I ended up finding a hole in the fuel regulator. About a ~$70 part if you get an AC Delco, but very simple to change.
