I have a Pride 4 wheel Go Go Elite Traveller Scooter. It generally works fine, but I will frequently get an 8 beep error code and it won't go after a stop. I merely turn the key off and then

Just turning key off and on temporarily solves the issue, but it recurs again. Some days are worse than others. All else works fine and the battery is always fully charged.

Thanks; the manual does list the codes; actually it is 7 beeps suggesting a Speed Pot error. I just wondered if I could fix this or if it needs to go in for service.

Hi you need to check the switch located on the brake , this can stick fooling the controller into thinking the lever is in free-wheel when in fact it's in drive mode...

press the little switch in after spraying with WD40 or any contact cleaner...repeat this to make sure the little switch is releasing fully.

Pride elite traveler keeps cutting out 9 beeps

it could be the connection between the rear section and the front half. take back section off and see if connection has melted as I have repaired lots with this fault.

okay there sounds like there either water somewhere or condensation ?

place the whole scooter in a warm room next to a radiator, not too close but close enough so it gets the warmth leave it like this to dry out, this has worked for me, water causing a short either under the tiller panel or where the controller is situated.

We have a elite traveller 4 wheel and have just washed it. We have left it to dry ans just turned it on to use it and it is letting out one continious bleep. Can you please let us know what to do?

Take it out of freewheel and see if it will work Next time just wipe it down with a damp cloth instead of washing Washing can cause the brake to rust on the motor case and thats not good also will rust hubs to axles and you won't be able to replace the wheels when they wear down Hope this helps

7 bleeps on my GO GO ELITE TRAVELLER SCOOTER

Hi. 7 beeps is fault code for a faulty speed potentiometer. Might also be a broken wire on the pot or a faulty connector. Most times, a new pot will fix the problem.
Good luck. Neil.
