Hi, how much oil goes in the forks of 1982 suzuki gs 750 t

The amount of oil that goes in the forks of a 1982 Suzuki GS 750T will depend on the type of forks that are installed on the motorcycle. It is important to use the correct amount of oil to ensure that the forks are functioning properly.
If your Suzuki GS 750T has standard telescopic forks, you will need to add 10.8 ounces (320 mL) of fork oil to each fork. If your motorcycle has air-assisted forks, you will need to consult the owner's manual to determine the correct amount of oil to use.
To add oil to the forks, you will need to remove the fork caps and use a fork oil level gauge or a piece of wire to measure the amount of oil in the forks. If the oil level is too low, add oil until the forks are filled to the correct level. If the oil level is too high, remove excess oil until the forks are at the correct level.
I hope this information helps! Let me know if you have any other questions.

Where is the hole on the gearbox where you can see how much gear oil you have in it on my gs suzuki l 1982 1100

Your GS is wet sump therefore it does not have gearbox oil. You put oil into the filler hole (normally about 3 to 4 liters) this flows to the bottom of the engine (sump) and is then pumped all around the engine including the gearbox. If oil is leaking from this hole I would suggest something is missing i.e.sensor, plug etc or someone has drilled it out. You need to find someone with your model GS annd see if they have the same problem and/or a Workshop manual to work this out.

Yes i have a 1982 suzuki gs650 i am fixing up . i put the key in the ignition and it wont turn so i was wondering how i can start it to see if it is worth fixing

Hi , start by putting the byke on its central stand or other device, in order to get rear wheel on the air
engage on 4th or 5th gear and try turn the engine by turning the wheel (better without sparkplugs)
if it turns ok without noticeble strange noises, then put the sparkplug back and try ( ask a friend for help) to push it dow the road in 2nd gear
at this point i'm assuming that everything else has been checked (petrol, spark oil level, etc)
good luck,

I do not have a manual for my 1982 GS650L. Does

Sure it will. That's why it is there. Just fill the crankcase to the point it shows the oil covering 1/2 to 3/4 of the window. Yes, the case can hold more oil but don't add more thinking that would be better. The cylinder walls get lubricated by splash lubrication. Filling too full kills the splash and limits lubrication. Use 10w40 motor oil. Any major brand will do.

Please rate this solution! Thanks Briant! :)
