SOURCE: rough running

This problem, ironically, might simply be the screen filter on the in tank petcock. The zrx is a gravity fed filter-less fuel system with only the screen to act as a filter. I had the same problem with my black 2001 zrx and did a full tune up before pulling the petcock and cleaning away 9 years of sediment from what appeared to be a very clean tank. I simply purchased a seal kit from Kawasaki before the tear down and waited till the tank was as empty as it would get by riding it. The screen was surprisingly clogged with junk...and once cleaned and reinstalled the bike no longer ran poorly when cold. Im not sure why the bike being warmed up made a difference but it did......now it starts and runs like a champ (colod or hot)!!!

SOURCE: Which size Jet Kit for 800 Vulcan Classic?

general rule of thumb is to go up about 10 jet sizes,unfortunately it is a bit of trial and error,and you may have to swap out diferrent sizes to get the bike running right,(jets are quite cheap though)but first step about 10 sizes from standard,your local dealer should be able to tell you what jets are in it and supply replacements,if you change to a hgh flow aftermarket air filter you may have to change jet sizes again as changing the filter may effect the mixture ratio in the carbs,,hope this helps

SOURCE: 2000 kawasaki zrx 1100 how do i change tranny oil

transmission and engine share the same oil, so it is changed when you change the engine oil, and for that reason I change engine oil on my bike at 2 thousand mile interval.

SOURCE: changed from standard air box air cleaner to pod

Going to the manufactures specs or anybody's specs for that matter won't help you, you have interrupted the air flow, Get an adj jet from Dyna flow, I did the same thing, went back to the oem specs and still wouldn't run. Got a Dyna flow kit and off it went. Those things are expensive but worth it. Plus they are adj. And you get a free dyno check if you ever find somebody with a dyno tester. My Mikunis were a little newer, but I'm sure they got something. I found mine on Ebay. Hope this helps.

My 2000 kawasaki Zrx 1100 has gas coming to my air box vent hose wit would cause that

You need to describe better what you are calling your airbox vent. It sounds like there is a drain hole or port in the airbox to drain away raw fuel that might get in there by flooding. If so it is fuel system overflow or floodign that is causing raw fuel to be in the airbox.

1983 ltd kawasaki 440 i put pods for air on carbs what sizes jets do i need.

If the "pods" are meant to be direct factory replacements, then no jetting is needed.
Filters like K&N will come with instructions if any jetting is needed for their installation.
You'll need to check with the manufacturer of the "pods" - since you didn't provide the make/model of them here, I can't say for sure if they require a jet adjustment, replacement, or if you don't have to do anything.

2001 kawasaki lakot sport 300 klein carb. runs at idle when u hit the gas it boggs down carb has been cleaned all jets ect... sat for 2 years with old gas in it this is not the zrx 400 they didnt have an...

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

If the carb has been cleaned, fresh gas and the engine idles good, possibilities are:
  • fuel starvation - when throttled up. Determine if there is sufficient fuel in the bowl of the carb. Loosen the drain screw and note quantity and quality of fuel;
  • too much air - is the original air filter and enclosure installed? If yes, check for air leaks. The lower the bog down RPM, the bigger the leak;
  • too little fuel - if the needle has notches, adjust the e-clip lower; if none, insert small thin washers after the lock (0.5mm).
The bogging down would also happen if aftermarket open breather air cleaner is used. Install back the original airbox/filter.

Good luck and thank you for asking FixYa.

Don't know how to check the timting on my ZRX

The ZRX has CDI ignition. The CDI ignition timing is fixed and can not be changed. A "tuneup" means you change the oil and oil filter, install new spark plugs and new air cleaner, lubricate the cables and chain, adjust your mirrors and then wash the bike. That's it!
