Not a specific answer, but my advice is; the best money you'll ever spend is to get a service manual from say amazon for example. You can spend quality time reading through it while enjoying you beer!

SOURCE: ducati starter motor

I have 2 monsters in my barn right now, the starter motor is, well is not the easiest. First, is it the starter gone bad or the relay? Check the fuse. Then check the relay, bottom right of the air filter housing, rubber mounted, make sure it cliks when the key is on and the starter button is hit, then check the battery, make sure it is good, then if all this checks out, check the wiring. If it is still a bad starter, remove the crank case cover on the left, rotate the starter gear to align the bolt, unscrew the 3 bolts, and replace the gasket when putting in the new starter. Don't forget to take the battery negative off, and wire on the starter motor. Good luck.

Most Ducati seats have two bolts just under the rear part of the seat cushion. You just have to push the padding forward to reveal those little hidden buggers.

Hi, Anonymous for this situation I would call my local dealer or reputable shop's service/parts department and inquire about any possible quick fix, answers, or parts inquiry. If necessary, transport your bike to the dealer or shop and have a professional technician take it for a test drive, if it is in running condition, and give you a written estimate of repairs and answer any specific questions you may have about your problem.
