Day 1: Recorded 58 minutes of video in 5 minute segments. Battery ran down during last recording, camera shut off. Camera would not accept a charge, reported "temp too high" with thermometer on screen. After sitting several hours to cool, still would not accept charge. Found instructions on web to reset by holding power button 10 sec. Reset still did nothing. Set camera aside for 12 hours.
Day 2: Camera accepts charge, offload Day 1 video and erase all video from camera. Shoot 50+ minutes of new video, again in 5 min segments. Camera again dies and shuts off. Will not accept charge, will not reset via holding power button. Use paperclip to press internal reset button. Still no luck. Pressing power button, "Low Battery" screen appears with backlight on. Camera shuts down several seconds later.
Day 3: Purchase external charger accessory (Flip branded charger) to attempt to get camera to charge (won't accept charge from latpop/USB) Camera still will not accept charge. Now camera will not even boot, and screen is dark. No "Low Battery" indicator..
Day 4 - 7: One website says "let camera sit for several days and try again" Camera not touched for 3 days.
Day 8: When connected to power source, screen occasionally turns on, low battery icon with lightning bolt and red meter appears. Camera then shuts off after several seconds. No luck so far attempting to get camera to accept charge.
Should I just return it for a refund and forget about the video?
