Trying to reattach rear fender on 2005 harley wide glide having problem attaching front of fender to frame, what parts go where resat of fender not a problem

I had to pull the rear wheel to get access to the front bolt, I tried everything I could not to pull the wheel.
I ended up cutting the bolt bracet loose, welded on a tag, so that I could bolt it back on from under the seat, Yes, back yard engineering, but I have have the bike apart to the frame 2 times.
Good Luck,
Paul

I want to fit twin disc to my dyna superglide I got some sliders with the caliper mounts on from a V Rod and was told the should fit they are both 49mm tubes but the lenth is 25mm sort at the top end do...

Since I don't have any experience with anything to do with a V-rod, I cannot advise you on the front forks but unless they are almost exactly the same as your originals, I doubt they're going to work.

In addition to a caliper and a disc, you're probably going to need another front wheel as well. Unless your wheel has the proper drillings for the rotor to bolt up to it.

You're also going to need another front brake master cylinder. The original you have now probably has a 5/8" bore and you'll need the larger bore master cylinder. Remember, you've got to supply fluid to two calipers rather than just a single caliper.

Regrettfully, some things are just not as simple as they seem to be.

97 fxdl, difference between narrow/wide glide componants

You need the complete front end including the wheel. The FXDWG is somewhat of an oddball in that a lot of parts fit only that bike. A lot of other parts will not fit a Wide Glide. This even applies to the exhaust system.

Measure the diameter of your upper fork tubes, they're 39 mm tubes. The Wide Glide uses 41 mm tubes. The Wide Glide also uses a 21" front wheel.

Dyna Wide Glide Rear Tire

i called a place ( hogpro.com) about wheels for my 07 fxdwg and talked to the guy there. he said a 180 will fit with no problems and a 200 will fit in the swingarm and fender, you just have to center the wheel and deal with the turn signal brackets etc. Does anyone know where i can get a set of rear struts that are just plain with no recess for the turn signals that will bolt on to the stock bike? I am gonna try the 200/55-18 this winter on a 18x 5.5" wheel.
