You likely need a new plug if it has been wet from fuel but then you need to find out why it is wet. If it is wet it could be fuel or oil related so you need to find out which. If it is fuel related it must be running very rich so it should also be blackened like with soot and if oil wet it should be oil black on the plug.

It is a pity that you altered the settings before you did a fault code run. It may have been a simple case of faulty HO2s/o2s sensors that affect the control of the air /fuel mixture. Did you check the condition of the injectors before doing anything. Both of these result in over fuel and black plugs.

Sounds like something electrical, but you will have to narrow down the possibilities to proceed.
When it won't start, you need to find out if you are loosing spark to the plugs or fuel. Then go from there with your diagnosis.

Perkins is a hard engine to prime. Fill the fuel filter with clean diesel, there should be a hand pump on the left side(looking at the front of the vehicle) . There should be a bleed screw on top of the filter housing. Loosen the bleed srew and pump the hand pump untill you get a steady stream of fuel from it. Tighten the bleed screw. Loosen the injector bonnet nuts approximately 1 1/2 turns on all of the injectors. Turn the engine over until you see a steady stream of fuel from the the injector bonnets. Tighten the bonnet nuts, pump the handpump approx 10 times and start the engine. Give it half throttle until it stops stumbling and all of the air is worked out of the system.

My truck just start once when cool, after that one start up it is difficult to start again.

Sounds like engine is flooding as when it dosent start after it has run spin it over a few times and when it doseent start take out a spark plug and see if its wet with fuel or oil and fuel if so its over fueling .
Is it Carby or injector type
Has it over heated in the last 3 months
Is the return hose from the engine to the fuel tank clean and working ok as the pump pumps more than the engine wants and has to return to tank..

95 Camaro Z-28 starts hard

Need to verify fuel pressure at the injector rail with the engine cranking and with the key on and engine off. Specification is 55 - 61psi. The pressure should build with one cycle of the key. If the pressure is slow to build up there may be a restriction in the system between the pump and fuel rail .
The system should hold pressure without leaking down. If it leaks down there is a problem. If all is good there Checking for a good blue spark at several plugs to verify the ignition system is working ok. A vacuum leak could also cause a hard start issue.
A bad pick up coil or weak crank sensor can cause hard start issues also.

Toro ride on mower won't start

Try replacing your spark plug. If that fails then go to the engine, cheak your carb, lines, and gas. cheak for gum in the engine/carb. If gummed then get carb cleaner and spray twice, wait 1 hour then try again. If my solution fails then you might need expert help. Good Luck!

Husqvarna 400 e series- I mixed the fuel 40-1 instead of 50-1

If you have good compression and spark at the spark plug try priming the engine(put some fuel mixture in the spark plug hole),set the carb adjustment(highh speed H=3/4 turn and lowspeed L=1 1/4 turn, turn the scews clockwise until the end and then set them.Try to start the engine. If it runs only the gas you puted inside the cilinder and then stops you have a fuel delivery problem to find and fix.First disassembly ,check and clean the carb. Then the fuel filter and the hoses.Let me know. best regards savumihai71
