Question about 2001 Moto Guzzi Nevada 750 Club
I have a 750 small block moto guzzi engine fitted to a 3 wheel kit car can a V50 gearbox be fitted to give a lower gear ratio. The problem being the main input shaft is smaller any advice would be appreciate Terry Conlan
Sure, you can put any different size shafts together with a coupling with the sizes on each end of it. Even if you have to get it fabricated at a machine shop, it can be done. There's all kinds of ways to adapt anything to anything else, whether it is OEM or Aftermarket. Most of the couplings you are needing can be found at industrial maintainence shops that sell engines and pumps, generators, and the like.

Sounds like a slightly bent shift fork. But start with a oil and oil filter change. Dirt and grit in the oil can cause the same problem. If the problem gets worst you will need to replace the bad fork. This is a very involved project and bets done in the shop.
Please rate this solution. Thanks Fran :)

Depending on how much oil she uses.
Most engines use some oil and drip a little also.
Most older bikes use an automatic chain oiler which can go out of adjustment and dump oil everywher.
I would say 500 miles to a pint is OK.

SOURCE: moto guzzi 650 gt -gearbox
Guzzi is one great bike shy the gear box whine, I've worked on a handful of Guzzi and almost all of them have it. It does seem to get louder as the bike gets older. Keep a GOOD oil in it and shouldnt have any problems. Amsoil makes some of the best motorcycle oil i have found and that would be what i would run in it. During your next oil change check out the gears while you have the pan off to change your oil filter. Everything is easy to see and look at. If there is anything else i can help with or if you have any more questions please feel free to contact me
