Your weight is probably pushing on an exposed part of the wiring loom rubbing against the frame & causing a live earth. Check for any frayed or chaffed wiring under the seat. If you find any wire with insulation worn away, tape it up & zip tie were it can't rub again.

SOURCE: where is the oil drain

From the right side of your bike, look under the oil tank and find a hose or pipe running downwards towards the transmission. Follow this all the way down to the lowest part of the frame just behind and to the rear of the transmisson behind the exhaust pipe. There will be a plug in the hose or pipe. Remove this plug to drain the oil tank.

Good luck

How do I charge the battery on a 2002 HD Fatboy. I know it is under the seat but I'm not sure how to remove the seat.

The seat should have a tab on back with one bolt. Remove bolt pull back to release front of seat from tab. Before you do check for wiring that pulls out from under seat on left? side that is hook-up for Harley brand trickle charger. Some models have that,so?Good luck.
