SOURCE: Starter problems

well what you did there was start it but the fans still need the ignition switch to turn on all the electronics. for the starting problem, check the wiring from the battery to the relay. or even the actual ignition switch in the bars. see if the button is bad, that has been a small problem if the internal workings in the button get coroded or get miss aligned.

SOURCE: my honda cbr 600 is struggling as if it keeps

It all seems to be leading to fuel starvation. Have you checked the tank breather is not blocked which can be a small hole in the petrol cap or a tube from under the tank. It could also be a blocked fuel filter. There should be two. One inside the fuel tank under the petcock, another before the fuel pump. Here is the workshop manual where you can find all info you will ever need for this bike.
Hop this has been useful, rate me if it has...?
Thanks and good luck.

My BSA A65 engine dies when I turn o0n the headlamp switch. Now the bike won't start and I have no lights working?

Sounds as if you have a short circuit in the headlamp circuit. While this could be anywhere, most likely a pinched wire somewhere you have removed and reinstalled some part. The seat? Replaced headlamp bulb? As to no longer starting, you may have blown a fuse due to the short.

Yamaha Cygnus x was working fine had week off work now electric start does nothing lights and power working kick start doesn't work either like the kick stand us down when it isn't

Check your battery fluid level and voltage. It should be about 12.5V. A marginal battery can die quickly if not run consistently. Lights will come on at less than 12V but some ignitions won't fire a spark below 12V. Also check kill switch, stuck stand switch, and clutch lock out if so equipped.

Buell blast won't start

You have a bad switch somewhere - either the clutch switch in the clutch lever or the kickstand switch is bad. Of course I had a blast that had a sloppy connector at the back of the key switch that did all of the above too.

There may be a short in the kill switch circuit

Starting and once started won't run

The problem seem to involve a number of circuits, I would suspect the Key switch as it supplies power to all affected systems. The dieing on release of the clutch is usually the kickstand safety switch. If the kick stand is not up, and the bike in gear, then when the clutch switch detects release is kills the engine so you don't kill your self.
Check or replace these switches.

Hope this is of some help.

When the engine starts, there is a voltage drop as the starters crank, followed by a power surge as the alternators kick in and the voltage comes back up.

Ferrites are only there to prevent RF (Radio Wave) interference from other onboard devices.

You should either:
-add an isolated battery to the boat to service only your electronics. That way it is unaffected by the starters.

-There are several devices on the market like Newmar Power's "Start-Gurad" that automatically switch electronics to backup power during engine start. They work great and the electronics don't skip a beat.
