You have messed the gears up in your rearend! I have seen on several occasions that the gears on the rear axle were striped! On your rear gear housing there is a screw at the bottom! Remove that screw and gear oil should run out! Let it drain completely! Put ur finger u Der the stream as it is draining and inspect for metal shavings! If there is metal shaving present u have something going on inside there! If the shavings are fine in nature more than likely you have stripped ur axle not that expensive if u diy! But if u can tell there are pretty good size shards in it then u busted gears! Expensive!!

SOURCE: Yamaha timberwolf wont start unless push started

You have a loose connection to the ignition system . When cranking make sure it is in neutral. and kill switch is in run position. The only thing dropping would sensibly affect is the fuel system or jarring a switch., but with the suspension you have there really is no jarring. So, I would ck the wiring. something is loose.

My yamaha timberwolf want go in gear I first started it up and put it in first gear it just jumped in and out of gear could it be my U-Join or my rear end???

Jumping out of gear is a transmission problem, possibly bent shift fork. Does it pop right back out of gear while sitting still? Or does it pop out of gear when you are going forward?
