If you go to the web page of major battery manufacturers like Yuasa, they have all the dimensions listed of their batteries. If you take note of the universal size coding then you can look up other suppliers on ebay etc.

The inner seal how do I remove it. As you can see I replaced the outer already.

It is many years since I saw a washing machine like that.

I guess you took the pic with a phone or old camera. I copied it and zoomed it to full-screen but it lost definition before I could see the detail clearly so I can't answer with any great authority.

It is usual practice to drive a seal into it's housing with the spring-loaded lip away from you and facing the oil supply but this general rule is not true in every case. There are a few seals that are fitted back-to-front and some special double-ended seals that are very difficult to fit.

Due to the poor picture I am only guessing that inner seal is fitted the conventional way around and from the direction of the outside. Removing the old seal therefore would be a matter of using a propriety oil seal remover, knocking it through from inside the housing or possibly using a long specially shaped drift from the other side if it is open. Failing that I would use a hook and a slide hammer or a long hook, a pair of grips and a short lever.

Fitting the new seal at such a depth of housing without damage is likely to be difficult without a mandrill.

Front seal replacement

Hi No Name, The most likely place of the leakage on your car is the front crankshaft oil seal. The oil pan (sump) is fitted with silicon from a tube as the gasket. It rarely leaks unless someone has broken the seal, which is difficult and usually needs a special tool for removal. To replace it you'll need to disconnect the battery, remove the PK (Serpentine) belt and the power steering pump belt and the front engine mounting (Front of the engine but fitted onto the side of the body) Next remove the crank shaft pulley, (a difficult part of the job, made easier if the starter motor is removed and a dog tooth tool is bolted into the most suitable starter motor attachment bolt holes, the dog tooth is used to lock the flywheel while removing the crankshaft bolt holding the pulley (which is torqued to 76 nm when re-fitting. Use a puller to remove the pulley from the crankshaft and then remove the ten mm bolts holding the two parts of the timing belt cover. Set the engine to T.D.C (Top Dead Center) and look for the match marks for re-timing the engine when refitting the timing belt. Once alignment has been achieved release the bolt holding the tensioner bearing and push it all the way open, releasing all tension from the timing belt and remove the timing belt. The oil seal can now be removed from its housing. Fit a replacement oil seal smearing a light coating of grease on the seal lip. Press evenly into place, making sure of an even flush fit. Replace the timing belt with a new belt, Re-align the belt so that the match marks align precisely to those on the gears by fitting and adjusting on the straight side of the belt. Once correctly fitted, gently release the tensioner bearing until it comes into full contact with the belt and hand tighten the fixing bolt and then loosen half one turn. Remove the dog tooth tool. Screw in the crankshaft pulley bolt and apply enough force to take up slack and tighten the tensioner. Remove the crankshaft bolt and then reassemble opposite to disassembly. Remember to refit the dog tooth for re-tightening the crankshaft bolt.

I am having a hard time removing the Fuel Rail for my 1999 Olds Cutlas. Why is it so difficult to remove?

The fuel injector stems have an o-ring seal that fits tightly into the injector bores in the intake manifold. It is normal to have to pry up on the rail at each injector location until each o-ring seal breaks loose, BE GENTLE though.

Replaced door seal now door is difficult to close.

Sometimes, it is hard to close door after fitting a new seal.
Make sure you have got it fitted correctly round the flange on the front of the cabinet, and that the retaining clamp is securely fastened.
Try smearing the door glass with washing up liquid, this can help to close the door more easily
Please rate my solution.

Whirlpool Fridge/Freezer Door Seal Replacement. Model: ART 462/3

In short no as long as you get the correct seal type from a spares shop, or Whirlpool. Just make sure that it is straight and there are NO gaps or splits in it when you refit it. Usually these will come pre cut to size for the particular model of FF but you can also buy seal strip on a reel from many spares shops. Also when you have removed the old seal make sure that you use a degreasing cleaner to clean around where the old seal was located and make sure the area is dry before fitting the new one.

Battery replacement and parts for Yamaha Dragstar XVS 400

Hi there,

the best battery replacement for your bike would be a low-maintenance sealed battery. Sealed types last longer but they are expensive. XVS650 is a fit but make sure you specify if its either a custom or a classic, they get confused by these.

I"d recommend the linbar by lindby customs for the engine guard. THey're practical.

Hope this helps,

How do i fit a new door seal???

disconnect from mains not that easy first time. undo clip holding seal to cabinet. peel off seal and push inside drum remove top.i remember seal is held to tub by a giant jubilee clip but varies with model. undo clip and remove seal complete. fitting is more difficult lubricate slot that fits flange of tub with washing-up fluid - essential start at top fit an inch or so of slot onto tub flange. work in both directions forcing slot onto flange with thumbs as you go round. refit giant jubilee clip. refit seal to cabinet and refit cabinet clamp. test for leaks on rinse as water level is higher. this job is a knack so persevere

The door seal needs changing

not too bad a job. remove plastic clamp holding seal to cabinet and peel off the cabinet.push downwards on the seal close to the tub and the seal will come off - its just held by a spring round the periphery. to fit new seal lubricate the slot which fits over the tub with washing-up fluid - essential! starting at the top, press the seal so the flange of the tub enters the slot on the seal. work your way round the using thumbs to force the slot on the tub flange - easy when you have done it once but hard the first time. when slot is on the flange all way round, fit the spring which holds it on.the spring goes into a slot on the outside of the seal. this is quite difficult and you may need another pair of hands. fit the outside of the seal to the cabinet - this is easy and fit the plastic clamping ring. test for leaks before using in earnest. use rinse to test as the water level is higher
