Question about 2001 kawasaki KLE 250 Anhelo
After 2 days outdoor parking of my Kawasaki KLE Anhelo 250cc in cold and snow weather bike doesn't works normally. All works related done:cylinder inspected valve grinded, spark plugs replaced, carburettors cleaned and synchronised.Bike works well but..Only without air cleaner case cover.Even if you remove air cleaner element itself and close case cover it starts to misfire and stall.Yamaha workshop couldnt fix this problem.I drive bike with filter box cover opened only (element on it's place). Please support.
Sounds as though you have a blocked airbox intake. Look where the air is drawn into the box for obstructions. It is also possible that you are running your carbs too rich and the extra air that is being drawn in without the cover being fitted is putting the fuel/air mix right.

Testimonial: "Thank you for reply,Steve. Carburattors are ok,i also raplaced them with fault remained.Bike was running well as i said, but faults started after it slept for two days under the snow. Air filter duct ok. There is a metal screen so nothing can enter in it.Filter installed cap-off-engine runs.Filter-uninstalled-cap On-engine faults.Very strange.May be CDI auto advance function malfunctioning and cause sp plugs foiling in high RPM?"

SOURCE: wont run /idle
i'd start with removing the carbs and giving them a thorough cleaning as when bikes sit for so long, the carbs begin to get gummy/varnished from the old gas.
check for blocked holes in the pilot jet & main jet and look for "hard & dried up" gas in passages. be careful of the float bowl gasket as to not tear it or you will need a replacement.

Take the carb back off and adjust the float in bowl to spec.If you don't have spec just adjust till fuel stops overfowing an go with that.Yeah, it might take a few times.
