I would suggest you do a compression test. Low compression could cause these symptoms.
However you haven't mentioned if the bike has any trouble when idling or if it is lacking power at all?

Testimonial: "thanks lee for your answer firstly she starts first time also ticks over realy good I have only had this problem when the nut came off the starter motor flywheel and I had to replace that wheel also fitted new oil pump belt drive belt and brand new vieriator all from the factory did not replace rollers as they looked ok also new exhaust I bought this scooter off my m8 who bought it new it has not had a de coke yet but will give it a pressure test bike does not lack power just when you want to pull away would you recommend cleaning the stator plate as this has never been replaced ether when the flywheel nut came off I checked for any damage and cleaned everything before putting new parts in there was no damage to the engine block when it made that noise I cut it off and sat it up till I had all the parts too fix will go and get a new plug today and will also let you know about pressure test thanks"

I have a gilera runner 50 sp and it wont start

Has it been laid up for months? Did you leave any gas in it untreated? You may need to boil out the gas tank . Try a carb cleaner first that you add to the gas.Check the plugs. Are they black/oily (too rich / worn ring), Tan ( correct ).they tell a lot about the condition of the engine. Good Luck

Carb tune up gilera runner 50

on the carb you will find 2 screw one will be quite far in than the over thats the one you adjust this is the mixture screw which controlles the air and petrol together unscrew it say 1/4 a turns at a time and see if it improves if it gets worse screw it the oposite way and see if that improves good luck buddy
