limited info generic answer multi reasons --kill switch fail--fuse-wire/connector fail --battery--ign switch --etc ---do an online search and include year quite a few free service manuals for kawaski
hi this may help,check the voltage of the battery first,should be at least 13.2 v static,and on a completly different approach,check that the sidestand and clutch lockout switches are functioning properly,particularly the sidestand one,they are prone to failure and when they do they wont let start current through to the starter relay..hope this helps..cheers
To my knowledge, there would only be 3 wires needed from the handlebars that affects the engine:
engine RUN/OFF;
clutch ENGAGED;
engine START.
The first 2 would go to the interlock plus the neutral wire and the sidestand wire. The interlock then sends signals that starter motor can turn and that CDI can fire.
As to the ignition coil, 1 wire is IGN B+12 while the other would go to the CDI and should pulsate when cranking or engine running.
you can go to e-junkie.com and download a service manual for 7.99.thats the cheapest iv seen thats better than 70.00 at your dealer.Have a happy thanks giving
