This fault happens randomly every 4-6 weeks, it can be quite frightening when it happens, the engine cuts out, as if it has stalled, and the lights on the dash come on, it usually starts back up first time and runs ok afterwards,no one seems to know what is causing this fault, can anyone give me some advice or a diagnosis please?
Take the car to a mechanic before you get hurt!
Testimonial: "That advise is what i already know, and three mechanics have had a look at the car and all say the same thing, they say they need to be there when it happens to find what it is or they can't seem to diagnose the fault that is causing it to cut out. If anyone else has got or had this problem please make a comment and hopefully let me know what the fault is here. Secondly if there is a mechanic who does know what it is then feel free to tell me."

I had the same problem, I put in new brake fluid, changed the shoes and pads. When you brake, does your foot go all the way down to the ground?

gm has a problem with this from way back. double check your spark plugs and if they are not ac delcos, change them. ive seen this time and time again swearing, myself, that there is no way that the plugs would cause this issue. it always comes up with random misfire and usually another 1 or 2 codes misfire codes. put in ac delco, no more codes. let me know
